Schumer just applauded Bernanke and the Fed for their "aggressive and appropriate actions by cutting rates". Schumer is a snake.

They just said, that "due to limited time with bernake" only select people will be able to read their opening statement. You could see Dr. Paul was not happy about that.

Sorry, no time for the guy who wants to point out rampant inflation! Only time for the guy who is in the pocket of the bankers and who will cheer Bernanke!

This is an outrage!

Yeah, what about the precious time of someone who is RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT?

I bet Ron could have been campaigning, but instead he's waiting around to 'try' to get a chance to ask the chairman of the fed about serious problems with this nation's monetary policy. And they're going to try to silence him?

This is insane.

I might lose it right now, if I hadn't already done so a few weeks ago. :D

Alan Greenspan has said obfuscation was his "forte." Bernanke has taken a while, but seems to be mastering it as well. Greenspan must be a proud papa.

would anyone like to address what ben said about money supply not going up? As I understand it, there are many other countries that dish out money at a much faster rate than the US does, but arent under the constant threat of inflation. Sure, we are printing more money than we should, however, there are many other factors that go into play when dealing with inflation....

Bernanke's tone is, "Hey, I just work here. You guys (Congress) told us what to do and we're doing it." When confronted with the failed policy, he offers absolutely no answer. Silence. Nada. When asked for advice, he passes it right back to them, "Well, you should introduce legislation to help the housing market, etc."

I have to say that I like Alan Greenspan, and for all of his obfuscation, he was an infiltrator who decided to sneak in to the establishment and do the best he could to hold it together. His interviews now make it clear that he still favors a commodity-backed currency.

You sure he was holding it together? Seems to me that he put the FED between a rock and a hard place. They really haven't options left but to cut the size of government or let the economy collapse. I'd like to think he infiltrated and did this on purpose.
