Do you guys think it would be a good idea?

Ehh, Letterman was pretty obtuse and combative with Rand Paul.

No, Letterman is a dick. Leno is well known as a nice guy, I'm not just saying that because he had Ron on. I've talked to people who have met him at car events and they say he's just a normal down to earth guy who just drove up in his car and parked and walked around talking to everyone. No idea on Conan, I've never watched.

I'm surprised he hasn't been on Jimmy Fallon yet at any time in the last 4 years. That is a huge young audience.

Conan could be good! Avoid Letterman at all costs though.

Conan would probably be cool with him, but wouldn't provide him with the type of audience Leno does. Leno is popular with older people and probably has 3-4 times the viewership now.

Fallon's show only started in 2009. He had Bachmann on, and it didn't help her- everyone made fun of her and there was zero applause. Plus her walk-on song was "Lyin Ass Bitch." I wouldn't mind seeing him on there, but I hope Questlove wouldn't do something like that to him.

kimmel could be a possibility.

On radio, RP should do a couple of hours on Coast to Coast AM. I believe that it has the largest radio audience including streams and replays. Plus, it has a host that will be friendly and fair.

No, let's not overdo it. Ron was magnificent tonight and this interview should stand as a beacon. Best not to dilute it with other similar ones that may not go as well.

I don't know what happened with Letterman. He voted for Ron Paul in 1988.

I don't know what happened with Letterman. He voted for Ron Paul in 1988.

I don't know what happened (other than Dave being a populist, GHWB not being exciting in '88 or ever, etc.). I do know this: Do not encourage Ron Paul to go on his show until Dave is calling Ron Paul out by name, night after night. Until then, you cannot expect a net positive.

Kimmel's show is the best of the lot IMO.

Ron should do Kimmel's show. He'd get a fair shake there too.

He has quite a large audience and is a Ron Paul supporter. Ron has been on the show before. I found this on the dailypaul from 12/14:

"Was just listening, Noory talked about Paul surging to within a point of first in Iowa and how Paul was honest and the candidate with integrity."

Anyone but Letterman.

Fallon, Kimmel, Conan, Craig Ferguson... all good. Letterman would be bad.

Eventhough I would like to see him on Letterman as I think it would make a fascinating interview, that interview has a pretty good chance to turn into an uncomfortable debate pretty quickly, put Paul into the defensive, and force him into a philosophical quagmire as he tries to counter Letterman's hyperbolic exchanges.
