It takes some of the hysteria out of the debate.

Thank you. Ron Paul was a cold war warrior. If he thought there was a real threat, as President he would ask Congress to declare war IF that is what it took. After 9/11, within weeks, Ron Paul asked for Letters of Marque to be authorized with $40 billion in funding to track down Osama bin Laden and those responsible. that would have authorized targeted forces, not a war on a nation, the people of which had nothing to do with it. It would have saved 4 TRILLION in US debt. In the end, OBL was ultimately brought down by a targeted force going into Pakistan, where there was no congressional authority given to exercise force, at all.

Ron Paul's way would have been cheaper and more effective. He believes in using the right weapon for the job, not in letting people walk all over you. And he believes in following the Constitution.

yes, the unspoken thought is that the hawks sound bedbug and bugnuts crazy to the public at large...
