So I went to Sioux City tonight with the intention of just scoping things out. Talk to fellow Ron Paul supporters gawk at Occupy Sioux City protesters basically just get out of the house. I started talking to some Ron Paul supports, then I held a sign up for a bit. Then I saw one of the Ron Paul organizers giving these two people tickets. So I went up to the guy and said "hey can I have a ticket." The guy gave me one and I was in the venue and to top it off I got a silver ticket so I could sit in the front portion of the audience. I sat next to this guy who was pretty cool and he asked me how I got a ticket. I said "a guy outside just gave me one." Afterwards I handed out flyers for a Ron Paul post rally party. As I was handing out flyers I talked to some older woman and she said "I don't like Ron Paul's foreign policy." I was like okay and said "you have a nice night."

What was the disturbance from the audience near the end of the debate?

As the guy was being escorted out the doors a bunch of pictures were taken of him. Maybe they will hit the media tomorrow. Yes there were a lot of Ron Paul signs outside.

Listen I hate to write people off, but when I looked at this woman I knew it was a waste of time. She looked like a typical neocon trophy wife who past here prime 20 years ago. You can't reason with those people so I took the high road.

So you got a silver ticket, saw someone you knew
But you didn't know she was a typical neocon trophy wife

I'm lost

I'd say you made the right call, nothing to be gained with some people.

Some guy shouting about the Federal Reserve? Must be a Rick Perry supporter. Wackos.

You can't take on every fight, and she probably was a lost cause. However, when time allows we can sometimes reach these people. Use the "Feel, Felt, Found" Method even if it wasn't your story. For example: "I can understand why you may feel that way. You see, as a young college republican I too felt that we should fight em over there. But then over the years I found by reading about the implications of our actions overseas, that we are actually making our country weaker. You see, Ron Paul wants a strong defense, and knows first hand as he served in the military. He simply wants to make sure that if we must go to war, we do it with the support of Congress, which means the support of the American People. And when we go, he wants our military to be able to do their job without being politically hamstrung. Our troops, and carrier groups are much more able when they are fully rested, fueled along the Atlantic & Pacific, not spread thin across the globe with low morale and broken parts.
