South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, one of the most sought-after remaining Republican endorsements, will come out for Mitt Romney Friday morning, POLITICO has learned.

Haley will offer her formal endorsement on Fox and Friends, giving Romney an important boost ahead of South Carolina's primary next month.

Romney is heading to South Carolina this weekend, where he's likely to be joined by Haley at town hall meetings on the coast.

Haley, a tea party favorite who upended South Carolina's GOP establishment by winning last year, has been courted by all of the GOP presidential contenders. As a state representative, she backed Romney in 2008.

Looks like SC is over with, oh well. Considering Lindsey Graham also hates Ron, not going to be a very friendly state to win votes in. Sheep there will be follow the Gov and Sen too much.

Win Iowa and New Hampshire then maybe DeMint comes on board.

Possible, but no one has ever won both before.

Nikki Haley has a LOWER approval rating than OBAMA in South Carolina:

A Winthrop University Poll released earlier this week found Haley's poll numbers in the state have dramatically plummeted since she was elected. According to the poll, she currently has a 35 percent approval rating among all South Carolina voters—lower than President Obama's job rating in the state, which sits at 44 percent.

Enough said! She is toxic.

I'm in Greenville SC. Russ Castle is bashing her on morning radio. She is finished in SC. She just sealed her fate and she knows it.

Down with the Tea Party. Down with Republicans. Down with the establishment.

Jim DeMint said he wont endorse anyone in the primary. Down with him too.

Governor Haley's approval rating is lower than Obama's in South Carolina.
She has proven to be a serial hypocrite and liar. I'm surprised she didn't endorse Gingrich.
If Romney is smart, he would downplay the endorsement. Haley is on a downward spiral.

According to this article, Ron Paul is the only candidate who didn't seek her endorsement:

Whenever I meet or hear of a woman named "Nikki" (or any variant thereof), I immediately think "Bimbo."

Pretty interesting move by the governor. Is this a legitimate thing, do you think, or did he make her some assurances?

It just seems really suspicious to me that Romney picks up this endorsement just as he sees his competitiveness slipping away in Iowa, and his dominance slipping away in New Hampshire. I think Romney believes that he's going to do great on Super Tuesday, and he just needs to get a good foothold in an early state. Surely he's getting desperate if he's making a play for South Carolina, because they're very socially conservative (or so I thought).
