With all the new people on the forum and everyone sharing stories, it would be so nice to know where those exciting things are happening. Would you please consider editing your profile so that your location shows up when you post?

I am not trying to control anybody, so if this makes you feel controlled, hit the back button and go to a different thread. If you think your privacy is invaded by listing your location, no need to tell me...just hit the back button and go to a different thread.

If you're willing to change your profile, here's how you do it:

Click on User CP (In the upper left corner)
Choose Edit Profile
Scroll down to the third box, titled "Additional Information"
Go to the Second entry, titled "Location: Where You Live"
Enter the info
Click on the button that says "Save changes"
You're done!

I'm surprised you didn't say your mother's basement.

I wish you could sort members through the location... That would be a nice feature.

Well, my husband dragged me to Portland from Santa Cruz, CA, where I was born, and now 5 years later he's dragging me to New Hampshire this summer. I am happy to follow. He does a great job keeping me happy.

Welcome fellow Tarheel.

Are you going to add your location to your profile?

Thanks, Sylvania. I think this is important too. It will help people organize.

If I'm reading a thread and someone makes a particularly insightful observation, or if someone suggests a great idea for a project, and I see that they live right here is California... I might send them a message and offer to collaborate.

Having location listed will help get people into Meetups too. We're going to have plenty of new people joining the movement in the next few months.
