Demint voted no as well. I'm surprised, he's usually bad at national security/civil liberty issues.

I have a feeling Mike Lee may have had a talk with him.

Could be a spending thing, Demint's a deficit hawk and there's no major military cuts here.

Demint is a fiscal hawk when it comes to non-"defense" spending.

DeMint voted for it the first time, not sure why he flipped on final passage.

I'd think most here are not sure of Lee.

I wouldn't use him as your base for politics being worth the effort.

RPF. Not MLF.

He's going to have to get more firm on an anti-war stance, but if he does, I wouldn't totally be against it.

Alright Al Franken. Plus kudos to those two Oregon senators.

The Oregon senators were against the initial bill and I think the PATRIOT Act as well.

I love Oregon. I could definitely live in that beautiful state. The coast or Willamette Valley. But I hear Portland is as leftist as San Francisco. Great looking place with the Columbia River running right through it.

Just curious to know if anyone noticed that Ron Paul did not vote on this garbage bill. I guess he was too busy campaigning in Iowa.

Portland sucks and I never meet any Ron Paul supporters.

The internet provides the ability to spread more false information to more people faster than was ever possible before in human history.

I now have an acronym for such - POTD (Panic of the Day). When someone starts or further propagates a POTD, I subsequently give said person the subsequent credibility he deserves.

Actually my Portland leftist comment was something I borrowed directly from you from a thread a few weeks back. I don't know any RP supporters here in Oakland either. But I had someone pass me a couple of nights ago on the freeway and he rolled down his window and extended a thumb up in response to my bumper stickers. I saw two big Ron Paul signs on farms along I-5 in rural Oregon last year.

Same. I like Dr Coburn for the most part.

I also liked Mark Sanford. Still would love to go on a penis lynching of that one!
