My Farewell to the Libertarian Party

Talk about 'radical'!

In a release yesterday from the Newt Gingrich campaign, 2008 Libertarian Party Presidential nominee Bob Barr was listed as officially endorsing his campaign.

Newt lacks many Libertarian principles and he also lacks many of the ideals put forth by Ayn Rand, which makes it a bit confusing as to why Bob Barr would endorse Gingrich to be President of the United States. Barr is a longtime devotee to Rand principles, however this action seems to betray those principles.

Barr was highly controversial during the nomination process during the Libertarian Party's 2008 national convention in Denver, Colorado where he was nominated. Many felt Barr was simply using the Libertarian Party as it has the most ballot access in the country just behind the Republicans and Democrats. I was the chairman of the Libertarian Party of Florida at the time and I received death threats from Libertarians in the state because he was our Presidential Candidate, even though it was not me who nominated him.

Yesterday, I, 2-time Arizona Delegate to the LNC and former Candidate for the Libertarian National Committee and Presidential Elector for Bob Barr in Arizona - former Arizona Assistant State Secretary and Chairman of the Platform Committee, have left the 'Party of Principle' to become the only Republican Precinct Committeeman in my Precinct in support of Congressman Dr. Ron Paul's run for the Presidency.

It's now or never, folks!

In response to LP Presidential Candidate Michael Badnarik's article "So many choices, so little time", I submitted the following comment:

Golden Opportunity

There is no gain without self-sacrifice.

Is not the Ron Paul of today THE SAME MAN this Party proffered to the American People for President!?! Is he not saying THE SAME THINGS we wanted him to say - things we believed in to our very SOUL?

Only now he's saying them AS A FRONT-RUNNER to be pitted against B.O. IN FRONT OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC! C'mon - any self-respecting LIBERTARIAN (as identified by L. Neil Smith in paragraph three of his latest most excellent work "Down With Power" http://down-with-power.com/ ) that can't see this Golden Opportunity to make the biggest impact on the RICO ORGANIZATION REFERRED TO AS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT in the history of American Politics, well, they must love their title or position or whatever they cling to more than LIBERTY.

What is to prevent the LP AS A WHOLE 'suspend' all activities of a voting nature, Register En Masse in the GOP, and support Ron to the hilt! Not only does this make a giant wave in the mechanics of keeping 3rd parties downtrodden and the media would go simply NUTS; and if for some unforeseen reason (machines count votes in secret) Ron doesn't get the nod, FLOOD BACK TO THE LP - taking every Ron Paul 'Republican' with them!

I hate to say this, but WE are about the only things standing in between violence, bloodshed, and widescale DEATH in America! The 'we' I refer to are the understanding patriots who strive for a non-violent R3VOLUTION based on Love for personal Liberty and individual responsibility. After the 2008 treatment Ron received those of us WHO HAVE SACRIFICED FOR YEARS have come to our 'moment' when the balance between Justice and Tyranny has a chance of going our way.

Will you sacrifice Liberty for beloved PARTY!?! Just exactly what 'principle' is that?

What the Party was founded for is within it's grasp. Only individual selfishness will turn down success.

I wrote that 27 days before changing my Party registration. Michael Badnarik was the REASON I registered to vote in 2004 for the first time in my life! Michael was the reason I joined the LP. Since then, I have witnessed firsthand the implosion of the National Libertarian Party with my own eyes - to my AMAZEMENT. Here I thought I was in the right place with the right people doing the right things, only to find 2 impassable inevitabilities. 1) politics and 2) the corruption of POWER.

I ended up being the Organizer of the first Ron Paul for (Republican) President MeetUp Group while being a Presidential Elector for Bob Barr in Arizona on the Libertarian ticket!

All I can say at this point is I hope someone finds the BALLS to wear a 'V for Vendetta' mask at the 2012 LNC in Vegas because IT WON'T BE ME!

It's a damn shame what happened to the LP. :( Maybe the neocons and other non-libertarian elements will purge themselves eventually.

I say let the neocons have the LP and we'll continue our putsch in the GOP.

Thank you.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

The LP has done a lot of good over the years. This year, for me, it is No One But Paul.
