Yup. And often the "newsmaker", in this case Conan's network, releases a statement for the press and the press simply regurgitates it. It's easier than real journalism.

Like G.E? Westinghouse? Is news filtered by the biggest arms merchants of death the world has ever known reliable?

Do you really believe Nobel's gunpowder fortune still gives peace prizes because the man felt guilty? Really?

Since 'Remember the Maine' and the Spanish-American War, we've gone from yellow journalism to yellowcake uranium journalism. In other words, we've gone nowhere at all. How obvious does it need to be?
