She’s a lock for the “mother of the year” award.

That is unfortunate, but it is really side tracking us from the real issues and a lot of people seem to like to use this type of crap to throw the whole OWS movement under the bus. Just like MSNBC liked to throw the Tea Party under the bus for having a racist protester arrive at a Tea Party protest.

I was listening to an interview earlier on Democracy Now! that was pretty amazing. I don't know who it was, but she was talking to Amy Goodman about how she did a lot of research into the events that led up to "Black Tuesday", the stock market crash of 1929. She explained how the banks were using the same tactics leading up to it as they did for the crash in 2008, trying to overvalue various investments and putting out false information, etc.

She also explained how the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Consumer Protection Act was a fraudulent bill and that it has done nothing to curtail the banks or protect consumers and has lead to further speculating and even more problems than we had before. She was saying how both the Republicans and Democrats have no real opposition to the banks and how the Occupy Movement is the only real opposition.

There are a lot of people in the Occupy Movement who are very highly educated about our monetary system and I guarantee if Ron Paul goes up against Obama and they start to hear Ron Paul talk about the Federal Reserve and our monetary system and our foreign policy THEY WILL SUPPORT HIM.

Ron Paul supports OWS, read my sig.

I am an occupier, and you are apparently glued to the mainstream media and have bought all of the propaganda put out against them.

No different than the progressives who bought the anti-Tea Party sentiment coming from MSNBC.

You are merely apart of the false left/right paradigm and are being played by the system.

That is going a bit far dannno. At least go get the entire quote. He talked positively about those who were not asking for more government and were correctly identifying the source of the problem; big government and the Federal Reserve bank. You know as well as I do that he does not support those who have no problem with the bailouts; some just wanted the bailout coming to them. Some there just want a bigger nanny-state and RP most certainly does not agree with them.

There are a good number of Marxists and Socialists there now, Dannno. Don't pretend that Dr. Paul is embracing that ideology. To do so, would be doing a huge disservice to the good doctor.

No, he talked positively about ALL of the protesters who identify the problems with corruption and with our monetary system for identifying those issues within our current economic paradigm, but did not personally agree with those who held solutions using bigger government.

"The first step is admitting you have a problem"

Most people don't recognize that there are REALLY BIG inherent problems with our political/monetary system that run VERY DEEP. OWS protesters for the most part recognize this. They are much more educated about our system than the vast majority of the country, including Republicans who like to parrot small government ideals (many of whom simply do so for selfish reasons, even if those selfish reasons are morally justified, i.e. lower taxes)

Occupy movement and tea movement. I can hardly wait for the day we are brought together, I believe Ron Paul is one of the few that can do it! Corruption will have nowhere or no one to hide behind. Hope it happens when Paul becomes unstoppable to win the nomination, and make freedom a reality. I would love to rename it 99% who believe in honesty vs. 1% who believe in deceit.

Um, danno, all railways in this nation besides a few hundred route miles from Boston to D.C. and out to Harrisburg are private property and always have been. And trains not only don't stop on a dime, but these private corporations which do so much to keep our economy moving with minimal ecological impact end up tying up their rights of way for a long time (rebuilding air pressure to release their brakes) and putting flat spots on a lot of expensive wheels when people force them to use their emergency stop function.

Please, let's not use this rational forum as a platform for doing something as wholly irrational as playing chicken with trains.

I wasn't supporting stopping commerce, that isn't something that the OWS movement does which I support. However, I do support their right to occupy public space and just wanted some clarification.

For once, can we just forget about the Tea Party? This has NOTHING to do with the tea party.

You know Amy Goodman and Democracy Now! are an extremely liberal news station, right? Anyone on here knows democracy is a terrible form of government. They're anti-capitalism, and the push all the stupid global warming crap as well. Democracy Now! can poison your mind. It actually explains a lot about you. The same thing happened to my dad, and he started railing against capitalism. I think he's sobered up a bit, but that program has extremely liberal views and is not a reliable news source.

They are private property, not "public space." Get it right.
