Tonight on Leno's show he said he was fascinated with Ron Paul and is excited to have him on the show on Friday!

This is great news. Combine that with a massive money bomb.

Let's do this guys. Let's make a statement!

Fascinating? Sounds like this will be good!

Yes he actually said Fascinated. Dana Carvey is the guest tonight on the show and doing some hilarious impersonations of the candidates.

Yup. Last night, he said Ron would be on Friday and "I love talking to that guy!"

Tonight, he mentioned Ron 3 times, and said Ron Paul is fascinating and can't wait to have him on the show Friday.

Dana Carvey is a handjob. Not funny.

Awesome!!! I hope there's a Hulu link or something else later in the night. I really want to see the Leno hype for RP.

I would imagine that a large percentage of middle-aged and older conservative Republicans watch Letterman, instead of Leno.

I think you got it opposite man. Letterman is a big liberal. Conservatives don't like him. Leno has always been more popular with republicans than Letterman. They despise Letterman.

I've watched Letterman quite a few times and have never really picked up on his political views through his show.

Wow. It's Leno's job to pump up guests -- but he went above and beyond.

Well, if this is true, we wouldn't have to worry either 'cause Letterman supporter Paul back in '88, so he'll likely get him on at one point.

Personally I'm hoping that Ron knocks it out of the park in Thursday's debate and this interview promotes his electability as a front runner. He's getting some great exposure and traction in the polls at the PERFECT time. I think Gingrich peaked too early and Ron is yet to hit his peak.

The only debate "slip-up" by Ron I can think of was his "walls can be used to keep us in" comment, which turned out to be more positive than negative when the dust settled. I don't think Ron will need any damage control.

How did it turn out to be positive? I didn't think it was that bad, but a lot of online people who hated him already used it to say he was crazy.

I think the term "capital controls" entered the conservative vocabulary as a result of that line, thanks to a lot of medium-tier conservative talk show hosts backing him up. He can now bring up the subject again and a lot more people will know where he's coming from.

I don't think Letterman was being serious when he said he was voting for Paul in that old clip. He is a raging liberal.

No way, they watch Leno. You have it backwards. Older people think Letterman is a dick.

well, if we do well, Leno should bring it up, and hopefully he will. Ron isn't really designed for that sort of thing.

Yes, but everyone knows we are turning into a police state, and nuts mean's crazy mean - just exposed them for what they are. ;) Stories about the TSA or some other sign of a police state are in the news daily.

Late-night talk shows are generally taped in the afternoon/early evening, so "damage control" won't be possible, even if it is needed for whatever reason.

I thought the debate is 12/15 and the show will be taped during the afternoon of 12/16.

Leno will come out (in jeans) after working out the comedy and skits -
he gets to "the office" early enough to see the crowd -
and writes his final draft of the material sometimes on current irony
but you can get to ask questions at that time . . .
He loves to be asked about his car(s) and motorcycles I guess, but whatever - he's a good guy.

within maybe 10 minutes the show will start taping - leno coming out in a suit of course.

But this is GREAT news - Leno pumped up about RP.

Which brings me to I wonder if he'd do some skit with Ron Paul . . .
ya' know -
have Leno ask about foreign policy and have RP reach behind stage,
and wing his book at his head (Leno better duck quick)

Leno: " that was close . . . that seems like tough enough for me yadayadayada"

http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/sunblush/fpfronpaul.jpg

-or-
do something with Ron Paul like the bazooka bit with Arnold (The Terminator Governor) with Leno driving a challenge car
(filmed before the show of course) - I have a partial youtube I'll try to find -- too funny!

I hope he shakes some hands in the line so youtubers please -
lets get much footage for us all if possible.

While in line, hoping to see some of those small American flags on a stick
not only to wave at the cars in Burbank honking at us all in line
with the band Golden gate entertaining the street crowd -

you can't bring too much into the set so someone in your group can run back to the car
(there is free street parking around Burbank . . . little cul de sac off up by Warner Studiio some apartments
where some locals will be at work !)
but those little American flags on a stick (at Hollywood shops or Sav-On on Santa Monica Blvd. etc. etc.
they might let in or you can get them by in your back pocket.

You can ask for rules when tickets are picked up at 0600am

Get the youtubes ready everybody -
we need more you tube footage to get the high schools seniors (18 and up to get registered for the GOP caucus (or primary) -
especially in Van Buren County, Iowa and New Hampshire and the important Nevada caucus later!

Ron Paul could use the boost for the late California primary

Is there any way we could thank Leno for his graciousness? I think we should send a big thank you for his multiple examples of fairness to Ron. He would plug Ron multiple times in '08. He would do "Jaywalking" and say to people "You recognize this guy (pic of Ron)? He raised more money than all the others!" and they'd say "Uh, yeah, isn't that Paul Ron?"

Thanks for your having Ron Paul as your guest on Friday night.

As you know the October 30, 2007 taping with Tom Cruise after Lions for Lambs came out was a great experience for the Texas Congressman,
and we're glad that ya' can spend more time now as the main guest Presidential Frontrunner (he won CPAC ya' know)
- and show his book "A Foreign Policy of Freedom" since that is the big questions for Iowans and Californians and Nevadans and everybuddy !!

(just hope he RP doesn't wing it at your head if ya' question him (haha)

or maybe do the bazooka skit like ya' did with Arnold . . . (haha)

Thanks again Mr. Leno - it is gonna be a great show !"

Leno is a friend to us.... 4 years ago when FOX didnt allow Ron Paul into a debate, Leno invited Paul on the show and basically gave him 15 minutes to speak...
