On msnbc just now, they were talking about pat robertson, and the idea that extreme christians want to set up the end of the world by uniting israel came up.

Scarborough proceeded

"No those people will vote for Ron Paul. NO JUST A JOKE DONT EMAIL ME RON PAUL SUPPORTERS"

No, it would have been funny if there were any truth. That's how comedy works. Ron Paul is the last person the pro-Israel rapture crowd would support. Hell, it isn't even ironically funny.

I didn't think it was funny. I thought it was completely gratuitous. The people described are exactly the sort of people who would NEVER vote for Ron Paul and specifically WOULD vote for Ghouliani - people dreaming of armagedon. What that does is diminish the fact that it is just this sort of war loving/apocalypse yearning type that the Ghoul appeals to - the very worst in us. It wasn't funny. It was a pointless joke which Joe used to say, I'm not really one of those Ron Paul guys and suggests that Ron Paul is himself a joke.

Well teh majority of them no. But there are a few who havent mamaged to get banned from thsoe forums. i am not one.....they hate RP b/c he doesnt belive in draining our country financially to give money to a first world country.....

Hey - he said Ron Paul! Remember when it was enough just to get his name mentioned on the air, and ANY publicity was good publicity?

He also acknowledged that we are a force to be reckoned with by his remark. Boys we are moving out the basement!! :D
