Oh, the patience Dr. Paul must have to answer the "third party" question for the 10k time. :)

He needs to switch up his answer. Maybe he should ignore the question altogether and just start talking about his campaign. Or, say, "No, my campaign is gathering steam and blah......."

Suggest to Blitz that he needs to ask this question of all the candidates to be fair.

Then again, it certainly keeps them on their toes, constantly wondering what he will do. :D

Home run on the definition of non-intervention vs isolationist. Ron was on his toes.

Really, I thought he was all over the place on that question ... which was funny given how his face lit up when Wolf asked him to explain how he's a "non-interventionist" rather than an "isolationist" and what the difference between those 2 positions are.

He used big words and over complicated the differences between the two to the point of total confusion for the average viewer.

What's the simplest answer Ron could've given to the isolationist vs non-interventionist question??

The two pro-Ron Paul letters Jack read were pretty random. The question was "Is Mitt Romney the Hillary Clinton of 2012?".

The first answer was "Romney=Clinton=Gingrich=Obama=Bush. Ron Paul=Thomas Jefferson=Prophet. Remember Dr. Paul called the financial collapse back in 2001".

The second answer read: "Only if Ron Paul is the Barack Obama. Newt, by the way, is the Howard Dean of 2012. Mitt is more the Bob Dole of 2012".

Full credit to Wolf for setting the record straight, as far as his show is concerned, about the non-interventionist position. I may disagree with most all of Wolf's worldview, and how he applies that to his profession, but fair is fair. And Wolf was entirely fair to Dr. Paul there.

Not only was there no third party question, Wolf Blitzer asked Ron Paul to name who he thought should be his Vice-President.

Paul's response was that he had many names, and did not want to insult those people by only naming two, and besides it was not the time for that talk anyway.

Like a Boss!

More and more, Ron Paul is becoming the candidate I always dreamed he would be. His answers are on point and his delivery is clear. I also noticed that he's keeping down his tendency to change his pitch up. He sounds authoritative and that's what he always needs to do. He speaks without doubt or hesitation. A real leader.

Now I've seen the clip and I have to get back to your post. Your view simply baffles me. His answer IS the best answer I've heard to that question, and it's simple as well.

Here's what he said..

An isolationist is a protectionist that builds walls around a country. They don't like to trade. They don't like to travel about the world. And they like to put sanctions on different countries. So some of the people who call me that are actually much more in favor of sanctions and limited trade and they don't want to trade with cuba and they want to put sanctions on anyone who blinks their eye at them. And yet the opposite is what we believe in. We believe that nixon did the right thing by opening up trade doors with china because that is when we quit killing each other. And that we are more at peace with them because we better be because they've become our banker. So non interventionist is quite a bit different. It's what the founders advised. To get along with people, to trade with people and to practice diplomacy rather than having this militancy of telling people what to do and how to run the world and building walls around our own country. That is isolationism and its a far cry from what we believe in.

That said, his follow up answer about bringing all of the troops home was A+ (and added great clarity to his 'non-interventionist' position)
