Hi Guys,

For those of you who are waiting to promote, Trevor has been doing a great job with the site. I will be removing the temporary site soon and the site should go live either tonight or tomorrow.

For the latest news on the project, please see the first post on the following thread as it will be updated periodically:

Our hope is to get something up tonight on the TeaParty07.com site tonight, especially now that we have our first media mention by ABC. It will take a while to update through the internet since there was a domain transfer involved.

I hope it's finished too

I hope the layout's changed so that Decmber 16th is more obvious...

You guys should have just pointed the domain instead of transfering it. That would have taken 10 minutes instead of 12 hours.

He's right. You need to get more people like Jordan on your team. I also am dying to know who your host is, I can guarantee you it's some big named corporation that shares 1000s of websites on one server. I can get you a better deal on a VPS or dedicated that can handle much more traffic...

It's probably Go Daddy.

I love the "No Taxation by Inflation!" line I've seen around!

That was another reason I got ondecember15th.com and ondecember16th.com...

I have almost 5 terrabytes of bandwidth per month on my hosting solution. :)

PM them so they know. The site loading fast makes a huge difference for first time visitors.

IP History: 3 changes on 4 unique name servers over 0 years.
Whois History: 2 records have been archived since 2007-10-27
Reverse IP: 45,036 other sites hosted on this server.

This could be old info though if they're switching servers tonight.

On that note, there's also a Facebook group for the OnDecember16th page:

Wow...terrible choice. Yahoo has the biggest rip offs...webhostingtalk.com. Always search your host on there...HOSTS MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! Yahoo's TOS has certain rules about how much server RAM you can use, things you wouldn't really wouldn't think about until your website goes down from traffic spikes....

Why does the site work for some but not for others like me? Is there some DNS problem?

With DNS switches it takes awhile to get around the whole world. Clear your cache, that might be the problem.

DNS switches always change right away for the website owner but very slowly for everyone else. Pointing the domain would have been much easier...

It's too bad they don't even have a placeholder site up right now, considering it's actually received media coverage! teaparty07.org exists, and while it seems to be a legitimate supporter site, it seems like an entirely different group of people to me. teaparty07.com needs to get up, pronto, so we can have a single central tea party site.

I also have like 3.4 Terra of bandwidth left this month... if any of these sites go down, I'll upgrade immediately and mirror. Make an easy to access back up in the event they go down on the DAY of the event or whatever, that way you can just refresh to my page, etc... redundancy is important... I noticed the sites going down like crazy on the 5th...

this time will be 5 times worse, lets hope :D

Fortunately RP's site held up fairly well. And in reality, that's THE most important site.

for the first hour, I could barely use it... I got my donation off, and BAM, couldn't get the page to load... 30mbps FIOS.
