Would it be valuable to emphasize that Ron Paul's issues with regards to the patriot act aren't related to surveillance.
His concerns are regarding surveillance without oversight, due process, a warrant or probable cause. Especially when it comes to American citizens. This is the main point: unconstitutional surveillance without oversight and without any respect for the rule of law.
It may also be worth noting that over 400 states, counties and municipalities have passed resolutions AGAINST the patriot act.
