Hello all,

I recently signed up to be a coordinator for my area (Newark, NJ) for the Ron Paul Food Drive (http://ronpaulfooddrive.com).

I will be collecting physical donations (address can be found on the food drive site) as well as taking online donations. I will be using 100% of the donations to buy food.

Would you be willing to spare $10, $5, or even $1? For every $1 donated, 1lb of food could be bought and donated.

I wrote a lot about my charity, how I will purchase the food, etc on my donation page: http://nirvikalpa.chipin.com/ron-paul-food-drive-newark-nj.

Thank you for your interest... and don't forget to search RonPaulFoodDrive.com (http://ronpaulfooddrive.com) for your local drop-off location, or to become a coordinator yourself! This is an amazing opportunity to show the country that people helping people works wonders.

I don't know if this is something we're considering for the food drive but it would be nice to use the funds to buy from small and local farmers. We are the free market, we must set the example that it works.

I will take requests... such as, if someone is a vegan and wishes to donate for the purchase of vegan products, I will make sure only vegan products are purchased. This can go for organic foods as well as local, farm foods.

bump, chipped in 20 bones. feed the kids! Its either us or maybe food stamps, which will it be? Food banks are at an all time low, while food stamps are at an all time high. The culture of dependency wont end, itself, without a counter culture of charity.
