I've been worried about this staged Pat Robertson endorsement. Then a few minutes ago I heard this on Hardball:

Chris Matthews

Doesn't he have to pick a big large southern Baptist on his ticket to balance things out?
Reply from Joe Scarborough

Well that's why everyone's talking about Mike Huckabee. I think that would be the perfect choice.

My guess is Huckabee will drop out later and throw his support to Giuliani. The Pat Robertson endorsement is the groundwork for that so Huckabee supporters don't become disgusted.

Here is my tactic to fight this:

Whenever you meet a Huckabee supporter, reinforce how disgusting Giuliani is. We can at least reach common ground on that point.

If Huckabee is has "honor" he would never support Giuliani. We'll be able to rub in his face how Democrat Giuliani is.

I don't see how Giuliani/Huckabee would work... To many Christian conservatives otherwise swayed by Huckabee's faith appeal (i.e. without looking substantively at his record) will be similarly, superficially offended by the Giuliani ticket. Same thing for Giuliani's liberal, pro-choice base.

That ticket sounds like a disaster for the GOP, although I can believe they are potentially out of touch enough with reality to think otherwise.

Posted this yesterday (and four previous, ignored occasions as far back as Oct. 16).

"For example: in the October 16 rating, Huckabee had a considerable rating jump. The next 'scientific' polls magically put him in the double digits, allowing the free and independent media to talk about him all day long. Next, his fundraising took a sudden jump, which resulted in tens of worrying threads here. The guy was 'selected' as a VP to Rudy to get the fundy-type vote in the balance."

So - no surprise at all. It's all out there if only we look.
If it were hidden it would be a conspiracy :D

Robertson has preached for decades about family values and against the NWO. He even had a book out over 10 years ago called the New World Order.

All I have to say "Ye shall know them by their fruits" Matthew 7:16

I've heared that Robertson is a huge kook/fruitloop, as far as most religious people are concerned.
