I just wish Schiff could debate Obama. He'd destroy Obama in a debate. Maybe he do what Newt said he would and follow Obama around reviewing his speeches

I don't know. RP isn't a very good debater. His message could get lost

Oh please. His message brings people together. I don't know why people still think Ron is weak in debates after last night and his recent interviews.

He has more knowledge than Newt could ever have.

What we've been seeing so far aren't debates. 30/60 second responses? Yes, Ron is just TERRIBLE at explaining our monetary policy and how it needs to be changed in 60 seconds or less. In a 1/1 real debate with Obama where Ron is given TIME to explain himself to the people, he'll destroy Obama.

I don't know, when he trots out the "what we see now is the destruction of the middle class. When you debase the currency, wealth is transferred from the middle class and the poor to the wealthy. This is what is taking place now, and is something that has happened at an increasing rate since 1971, when we left the gold standard" line, it's pretty powerful.

Schiff debating Obama would be horrible. Schiff is knowledgeable, and once you understand Austrian economics, his videos become quite entertaining and educational...but he is a terrible debater. He becomes a ball of emotion, and he begins talking over the heads of everyone not already familiar with Austrian economics. Obama would come off as an extremely cool-headed leader oozing charisma, and our most important defender against greedy capitalists like the raving emotional and incomprehensible Schiff.

Stefan Molyneux on the other hand is an incredible debater. He has all the economic education that Schiff does, but with the added comprehension of logic, philosophy, and human psychology. I think he was ranked in Canada as one of the top 10 debaters at some point, and he tends to do a much better job bridging the gap between the total ignorance of the masses, and the decades of philosophical study housed in his brain. He's quite good at not only educating, but intellectually manipulating. If I hadn't spent time thinking and researching his arguments, I would wear ear plugs around him to avoid accidentally believing whatever came out of his mouth, because it sounds so damn believable.

Stefan Molyneux vs. Obama would be killer.

How long was Obama's speech? It only takes Schiff 6 minutes?

It is well-established fact that reading aloud is slower than just talking off-the-cuff. ;)

Ron Paul is currently trying to make his message appeal to Republican primary voters in 30-60 second soundbites. Of course that doesn't always work too well (though he did great the other day, the coaching he's been getting from Doug Wead must be helping). When he's 1-on-1 against Obama, he will absolutely annihilate him. Especially on foreign policy where Obama dug himself a deep hole he can't get out of.

Anyone have any facts about what Peter Schiff talking about? The fed increasing the money supply in the 1920s? The slash in the size of government after World War II? I'm interested in seeing these statistics to show the Obama-lovers.
