I think these numbers put reality in perspective:

The media is not involved in some conspiracy to ignore Ron Paul. To any rational outside observer, before Nov 5th, it really looks like Ron Paul has no chance. He had approximately $4M in total receipts, compared to :
Rudy Giuliani $47,253,520
Mitt Romney $62,829,068
Fred Thompson $12,828,110
John McCain $32,124,785
Hillary Clinton $90,935,788
Barack Obama $80,256,426
John Edwards $30,329,151
Bill Richardson $18,699,936
Christopher Dodd $13,598,152
Joe Biden $8,215,739
So, job well done on doubling his total receipts in in one day, but to keep the momentum going, his campaign donations really need to double again soon. If he can raise another $8M, that will start to make him look like a serious contender, and the free coverage that the press will give him will be worth way more than what $8M could buy.
So, my point is really that now, donations are more important than ever, and because of the press it will generate, donations are probably effectively worth 4x the dollar amount of the donation, so people should consider it money well spent.
