So I always thought they said the drug war was to keep people from ruining their lives using them. Sounds to me like Newt would like to help them end their lives to keep them from using it.

Hum... so what's the point of the so call "war on drugs" if all they really want to do is kill the people using them? And many don't even consider pot to be a drug... it's more of an herb.

Edit: Perhaps Newt is trying to demonstrate how smoking pot can ruin your life.

It's technically a dried flower. It sucks to see that Newt is even more insane than I thought he was. It's fine for him to cheat on his wife and commit ethics violations but God forbid that someone smoke cannabis.

Newt is a deranged power hungry lunatic. I’d rather vote for a Dubya/Obomba ticket (which I would do only at gunpoint…maybe) than for that weirdo. At least they try for some amount of subtlety. Newt just lays it out there, writing forwards for Alvin Toffler books and advocating Orwellian policies every chance he gets.
