View Full Version : The Money Bomb worked... average people are taking notice

Not 10 seconds ago, my professor at the end of class mentioned to me that he now takes Ron Paul seriously because of the money bomb. And I got to give him a nice little stump speech. He's going to do more research on him now. The funny thing is no more than 48 hours before hand he had jokingly commented on my support of Ron Paul, tying in the radicals and extremists that support Dr. Paul too. Everyone in classes knows me as the "Ron Paul guy"... because of my t-shirts and my laptop that proudly wear the Ron Paul name.

Summary:

The money bomb got us some serious notice, and it's filtering through to the common folk.

I must have had 3 emails/phone calls yesterday saying "Hey - you're man's all over the news today!" I even got one of them to sign an NJ Primary petition! :D

Its okay to gloat and be happy for a day. :) Everyone needs to take a deep breath and recognize our successes once in a while :)

Blanking the old media for a day is really going to help all those people who thougth RP had no chance or had only heard the name or didn't take him seriously. suddenly it's okay for them to vote for him or at least look into him without thinking he was a sideshow.

Dr. Kim, don't know if he's a citizen though he's a Chinese national I believe, but he's been here 20+ years so I'd hope so by now.

I like that people who previous ridiculed us are now taken Ron Paul seriously. But I think we should vigorously remind them that their change in attitude appears to have been prompted by money alone.... and that makes them ideological whores. Only say it in a much nicer way.

I love hearing these stories.

I love hearing these stories, too. Especially knowing that for one professor like that that we know about, there are about 100 professors our there who did the same thing that we don't know about.

He's catching on, I tell ya.

Or we can forgive, be the honorables ones and allow them to save face and find redemption.

I live in the historic district on the Hill and after a hundred years or so, things need to be repaired. So a few houses a few down from me are getting their iron stairs worked on. The workers have been working one or the other house a few weeks; I take the dogs out loose on the street so I've chatted with them a lot (they're better conversationalists than the pups).

So Tuesday morning when I took the dogs out, the manager yells at me: "Hey, I saw your guy pulled in the big bucks!" (I have a yard sign on the bars on my window in the front, the car is usually parked out front with a bumper sticker, and, now that it's cold out, the dogs are wearing jackets with Ron Paul stickers on them.)

I've been getting emails from all my skeptical friends who are sounding like they are taking him serious now. Nov. 5th was genius. pure genius. Official Campaigns can't do these kind of things... they are reserved for us grass roots people.

After finally watching V for Vendetta last night, it actually makes a lot of sense.... we bombed with our checkbooks and CCs. I saw the statue of liberty blow up (on the graphical widget ;) )

While my inside voice wants to RIP THEIR HEARTS OUT for being an idiot, my outside voice NEVER says "I told you so", much as it wants to, except when followed by the offer of giving them more information, a bumper sticker, some sort of swag or further support....and a big smile welcoming them to the world of the awakened.

My friend and I ran the Ron Paul table at our college a couple times, so I guess random people knew us as "those ron paul guys". Well, yesterday, a few people I didnt even know were saying "Ron Paul!" and "4.2 mill!" to me as I was walking to class yesterday

So where do I get my T-shirt that says "I supported Ron Paul before it was cool"?

We seriously need to start wearing "TeaParty07" T-shirts etc - there is still time to build buzz for Dec 16 that way!

Austrian economics will never be seriously taught in any more than a handful of state funded schools. It's against the interest of the school and the state....

Like that would ever stop us from trying!
I work in the grindhouse of socialist indoctrination, the LAUSD, and the students in my program get doses of it regularly. I make sure of that.

I will be bringing my ex-girlfriend (dated for 4 years, just friends since last year) over to Ron Paul. I'm the Ron Paul "fanatic" to her recently. It's a slam dunk because she hasn't seen a debate this year, and her uninformed choice right now is Thompson... she especially likes to bring up that he was on Law and Order
