We need to convince Hollywood to support Dr. Paul. Who do you think is the most famous/respected actor who is likely to support Dr. Paul? Once we narrow down the list, lets do everything we can to gain their endorsement!

I wish John Wayne was still alive!!! Maybe Patrick -- his son?

I'd also add Charlton Heston and maybe Clint Eastwood...

Also, please post the reasons why you think they would support Dr Paul.

Not if you want Paul to get the Republican nomination. They hate the Dixie Chicks.

I dont' think so - not after the way the TOTALLY ticked off most of the Republican base. They're pretty well pariahs in traditional circles and those are the very people that we need to win the primaries.

This isn't a famous actor, but -

On Nov 5th I happened to be looking at the widget and saw Mark Mcgrath Los Angles, CA

Could it be the singer from Sugar Ray? - not that they are any good, but it is one more "celebrity"

He's VERY conservative and was actually elected as mayor of mayor of Carmel, CA a few years back. Can you imagine a campaign commercial/endorsement from Dirty Harry? Who in their right mind would try to slam him?? We maybe need to find out where he stands on the whole WOT thing.

From here: http://www.cinematical.com/2007/02/26/clint-eastwood-slams-republicans-talks-iwo-jima-unforgiven-ne/ :

Eastwood intersperses the cinema talk with a dash of politics. He chides those who bash a film's themes without seeing it (Million Dollar Baby), and then makes a dig at Republicans: "I'm not really conservative. I'm conservative on certain things. I believe in less government. I believe in fiscal responsibility and all those things that maybe Republicans used to believe in but don't any more." Snap!

Also this:

USA Weekend (http://www.seanbonner.com/blog/archives/000330.php)asked:

So, socially, you're live-and-let-live. How about politically?

Clint said:

"I suppose. I don't see myself as conservative, but I'm not ultra-leftist. You build a philosophy of your own. I like the libertarian view, which is to leave everyone alone. Even as a kid, I was annoyed by people who wanted to tell everyone how to live. "

Isnt Bruce Willis an Independent?

Eastwood would be gold tho and has libertarian leanings

heres a few quotes:

"I like the libertarian view, which is to leave everyone alone."

"Abuse of power isn't limited to bad guys in other nations. It happens in our own country if we're not vigilant. Those in power get jaded, deluded, and seduced by power itself."

when he was asked: "How would you characterize yourself politically?" Eastwood replied: "Libertarian... Everyone leaves everyone else alone."

I don't know about you folks, but I can barely even watch television or movies anymore. I can't even watch sports anymore. Anybody who is anybody that I once admired has really disappointed me with their silence. At this point in time, I don't count on any famous celebrity to have the nads to openly support Dr. Paul. I don't believe any of them will jeapordize their acting, singing or sports career to openly support him and that makes me really sad. Of course, if Dr. Paul gets the nomination, they will all come out in droves and profess they have supported him for years. When I see my favorites now, I simply think of them as a coward.

That is a really damn good idea. If anyone wants to be a hero, make YouTube videos like this! Then when you email Clint Eastwood and ask for his support, you can say you made a YouTube video about it! People that see the video can email saying they saw the video (and link the video!)

Ask or hire Eastwood or Selleck to produce a tv commercial and see what we get. I think these two guys have two of the most trusted and recognizable voices in the business.

Not to sound naive here, but why can't we contact HQ and see if we can get Dr. Paul to contact Clint Eastwood? I'm sure all it would take would be a personal phone call?

Emphasize the importance to HQ to try and get Ron on with some public figure or celebrity?

I'm sure he'd try it? He's friendly enough!!!

What does that have to do with neo-conservatism? And what's so crazy about someone who's been a citizen for so long wanting a chance to become a president? What if you were born in another country but immigrated here when you were a month old? Does that really make you any less of a citizen?
