Who did you vote for?

I am curious to see who everyone voted for. I know there were some people who were not supporters in 2007-2008

I'd be more interested in a poll of who you voted for in the GENERAL. I know SOME of us voted for Obama or Mccain.

Couldn't vote then, but I supported Huckabee in the primaries and lost interest after that. Oh how four years can change things...

At the age of 19 I cast my first vote for Alan Keyes! Looking back, it actually wasn't really a bad choice. I wasn't aware of Ron at the time.

Couldn't vote but I liked McCain. All I remember about Ron Paul from 2008 is that he was the guy on stage who always had to have everything repeated because he could not hear lol.

I wasn't awake yet, didn't vote

But I will be voting Obama if its not Paul on the ticket, just because I would hate the GOP.

Ron in the primaries. Wrote in myself in the general. :)

I didn't vote because I was soo darn mad at the world! haha. PA is a late primary, so it had no bearing on anything. This time though I'm voting no matter what the outcome. :)

Ron in the primary (I lived in NY at the time) and Obama in the general. I hated Palin. I would have voted for McCain otherwise. His first "Presidential" choice turned out to be one that wouldn't benefit the country, but benefit himself by trying to buy the female votes. That alone gave me a bad vibe.

Writing in Ron Paul didn't even cross my mind. I would have done that.

Ron Paul! :D

Even though Indiana's primary isn't until May, and by then it's always all over but the shouting. I simply showed up and voted so I could have the satisfaction of casting my vote for Dr. Paul, regardless that McCain had already wrapped up the nomination....

But I will be voting Obama if its not Paul on the ticket, just because I would hate the GOP.

This is similar to what I think we should all do in this situation: What I would do is campaign for Obama and write in Paul. Thus getting more than just one extra vote for Obama, plus still adding to Paul's write in numbers, which will be big enough to show the GOP just how bad they f*cked up.

Seriously cool results right now. 16 didn't vote, we took an equal share of 4 each from McCain and Obama, and toss in 2 Huckabees and a Thompson.

Actually, that seems perfectly accurate. :)

Another Huckabee, I remember in 2008 getting so angry at Huckabee taking Paul's talking points. Every time Paul brought out a new one a few days later it was in Huckabee camp too. I know now it was the initial effects of bringing over basically the entire GOP field Paul's way by 2012, so I don't blame Huckabee anymore, it was the natural action of a skilled politician, and Huckabee was the first to start jumping on.

I say that because it makes sense that we are attracting Hucks Army. A whole lot of what they were told, actually started with Paul.

This up coming primary will be the first i ever voted in. I refused to vote lesser evils but did not hear about Ron until well after the general election.

Barack Obama.

Edit: Oops, I should have read the thread title. I voted for Obama in the general election, but I wasn't old enough to vote during the primary.

I visited Huckabee's forum several times back then. Quite honestly, they all seemed like such great people who wanted the same limited Constitutional government that Paul espoused. They just didn't understand back then that it was Ron Paul who walked what Huck only talked about.

I am very glad to see many starting to support Paul.

Nobody in the primaries but found Paul shortly before the general and wrote him in. It's quite telling that only ~ 60% of voters on a support forum even voted for Ron Paul last time around. Our numbers are much bigger.

I was a really big supporter of Hillary Clinton. I wasn't old enough to vote, though. I started to kind of like Ron towards the end of the 2008 Republican primaries...

I was a Democrat all my life. My parents are Democrats, my whole family is Democrats. Which is funny because I live in Kansas... which hasn't gone Democrat since JFK. Spending went out of control in 2008 with Tarp and then the Obama administration came in and spent even more. So I started to look into politicians who were dead set against spending. I remembered Paul from 2008 and studied him a bit closer. Everything he said just made sense. Which is when I really got into hardcore constitutionalism and looking to the foundation of the nation.

Went to vote for Ron, but I was only 17 at the time. I thought 17 year olds could vote in the primary, but that only became a state rule right after the 2008 election.

People were run off from the last campaign, too.

Voted Ron in the primary, wrote him in for the general.

Ron Paul. I also wrote him during the general. I know it was pointless, but I wasn't going to vote for the warmonger or someone so inexperienced in leadership.

No one. That was the first time I was able to vote in a presidential primary, and I really didn't care enough to register. Ended up voting for Obama in the general. I've changed so much in the last few years. Never again will I vote for the lesser of two evils.
