That would show consistency and the good intent of Ron Paul over decades of time.

Let's not pigeon hole the ads as Anti-Newt or Anti-Mitt, just go for Anti-Flip Flop candidate.

I believe he mentions Gaddafi and Libya around 2:15 or so. Truly ahead of his time.

Even better would be a timeline where they go all the way back to his start and progress to today and somehow seem everything together to make one ore two powerful messages

It would also show him young.

Yeah, I think that's a really great idea, also showing all his predictions and stuff. Going from the 1980s to today.

I think that has a lot of potential, it shows he's experienced, it shows he is wise, and also shows his conservative consistency.

This was made a week ago or so, and is going viral. It's awesome. I'm partial to the six minute version myself, but there is a four minute version that has more hits.

This is what I wa thinking about. This goes throug many different things but if they could somehow focus on a couple things and string multiple years together and create one single message from it that would be epic

I'm actually hesitant about using 1988 footage. For the simple reason that he's running for the Republican nomination now and in 1988, he had just finished trashing the Reagan Administration and was running libertarian.

If you want to bring out the secret weapon (Carol), you could use that interview footage where she talks about him coming home from work after Nixon went off the gold standard (paraphrase: "these babies are going to be in debt before they're even born") and build from that through a chronological series of video clips to the present. Throw in a few tea party scenes with economy signs agreeing with Ron Paul's consistent message.

Actually, I think they could still be Anti-Newt and Anti-Mitt simply by comparing what those two were saying decades ago with what RP was saying (and still says today whereas the others have flip flopped).

Watching these old videos from 1988 brings tears to my eyes.

Ron Paul preaching the absolute truth for more than 20 years ago, everything that he said still applies to today.
Can anyone else imagine America today if he was elected in 1988?
Let's hope we won't be asking can you imagine if Ron Paul was elected in 2012?

If ronpaulforums was around in 1988, Ron would be the guy posting stuff about cops killing people and their dogs every day.

As Newt drops, the postive RP ads need to return so they are the last impression on people before they vote. This 1980's concept could be a good part of it.

I remember watching RP on some 1980's Trash T.V show or something like that. I really did not care much for the show's format of screaming and yelling over other people when they were trying to get a point across...but MAN, RP was incredibly FIERY back then. I know he still can be riled up, especially when defending civil liberties and his anti-war message, but watching him on that show got me fired up as well. I think some 80's footage of RP would be a great idea. It would show how consistent he is, has always been, and always will be. And it would show how he was not afraid, even back then, to speak the truth and go against popular public perception.
