"With the wheels coming off the GOP debate he is supposed to host, Donald Trump admitted Friday that he’s looking into canceling the sparsely-attended forum.

But Trump, in a typical display of chutzpah, said there’s another reason why he might pull the plug - he still may run for President.

“If the Republican, in my opinion, is not the right candidate [to defeat President Obama\],” Trump declared, “I am unwilling to give up my right to run as an independent candidate.”"

I wouldn´t be surprised if somebody discovers that Newt got paid to sell Don´s book and that the whole debate schedule was just a stunt to raise awareness.

Trump's behavior is consistent with a deeply troubled sociopath. People should flee when this man walks into a room. Or at the very least guard your valuables.

LOL. Trump is going to run as Independent if anyone but Gingrich or Santorum is the nominee, because they agreed to go to his lame debate. Out of pure spite.

Newly converted Republican Donald Trump: The irrelevant elephant.

Gee, Donald. They've been dissing Ron Paul for months by erroneously saying he wants to run as an independent and split the precious Republican vote, and you think you'll make friends and influence Republicans by threatening to do this very thing? How's that working out for ya?

I like the part where he's mad at Bachmann, who trotted to his office FOUR TIMES, and even suggest he might be her VP.

LOL...MORONS FLOCK TOGETHER.

Their decision to skip the event has damaged Trump’s reputation as a GOP kingmaker - and it was Michele Bachmann’s refusal that appeared to wound The Donald most of all.

“She came up to see me four times,” Trump said. “She would call me and ask me for advice. She said if she wins, she would like to think about me for the Vice Presidency.”

But while Trump slammed the Minnesota Congresswoman for her lack of “loyalty,” he heaped praise on Gingrich, the new GOP frontrunner.

"He had the courage to immediately say yes,” Trump told Fox Business Network Friday.

She did the right thing for herself because it is pretty clear who the "right" candidate in Trump's eyes is, and it isn't her.

Is there anyone besides Trump who would be stupid enough to trumpet the fact that he got trumped?

I wish I had the creative ability to do this, but I would love if one of you talented people made a "Ron Paul owns Donald Trump" music video or something like that "Ron Paul: All I do is win" video once this debate is officially cancelled.

Why is it that this whole thing with Trump is starting to remind me of that television special, years ago, when Geraldo opened Al Capone's vault?

I just want to say that any candidate who goes to see Mr. TotallyRump while running for office is risking his career altogether.

What if Mr. TotallyRump suggests his support depending on what that candidate will do for him? What if he records their conversations? These little "visits" leave the candidate totally open to blackmail at worst, or compromise in any case, or at least, a blackmark on the candidate's integrity.

It is snakes dealing with the Chief Snake. Disgusting IMHO.

Part of me hopes Bachmann denies the claims that she offered him a VP spot and he pulls out such a recording... And NY is a one-party consent state; so it would be legal for him to have done so.

So Trump is mad at Bachmann for doing the exact same thing that Trump did to the Iowa GOP? That's some serious hypocrisy there. He fits in with Noot very well.

more like a narcissist that needs everyone's acknowledgement and praise at all times.

No. He is a criminal as well and may well fit into the psychopath category. He has literally ripped of thousands of shareholders when he purposely drives one of his properties into the ground and then hides the money and resells to a shell he owns and repeats the process. Deeds are never available in a Trump deal.
