At a Ron Paul meeting last night, I was struck with the diversity of the crowd. There were liberals and conservatives, rich and poor, blacks, whites and browns, hard-core Christians and atheists, young and old, all there for one uniting purpose of liberty for everyone. While everyone joined together sharing ideas in a run-down meeting hall in "little Mexico" under the flickering lights of a dilapidated building, I stood back witnessing in awe in the meeting of minds of people so different, yet so similar, that I'd never seen in all of my 54 years. Maybe I was the only one there who noticed people from every walk of life coming together in fellowship. No one else seemed to see how different we all were, perhaps because we aren't so different, after all. Everyone there from the richest to the poorest all seemed to 'get it'.

We were told that Obama was the great unifier and a man of peace who would end the wars, but I don't remember a time more filled with division and global war. The Ron Paul R3volution brings people who would never come together...together, for peace and liberty. I saw it all last night in a dilapidated meeting hall in the "poor" part of town. Atheists and Christians weren't fighting, but laughing, eating snacks and having fun together brainstorming ideas under one old roof.

Is diversity more united more under Ron Paul, than any other candidate in modern history and has anyone else got stories to tell of their experiences at the local level?

Yes, I've noticed this for some time now. Look at videos from 2008, there were very diverse crowds supporting him. The message of liberty knows no racial, ethnic, or religious bounds!

I am a long hair rock and roller type. I was totally surprised that I became a magnet for the elder conservatives looking for answers at 08 RP meetups and they would want me to get up and deliver my 'eff the status quo and their fearmongering..don't knuckle under' speeches.

Liberty is contagious once it's fully understood.

Singer of this band is an an-cap and I'm sure he's spoken favorably of Ron Paul before. It's a pretty big band, I'm really hoping he'll endorse Ron.

Metal in general is pretty libertarian, though.

Nah, Ron Paul is a crazy cook who is against Israel, wouldn't attack Hitler, and sympathizers with 9/11 terrorists. You got it all wrong man.....

Ron Paul has the support of the smallest minority...the individual.

It's a pretty big band, I'm really hoping he'll endorse Ron.Wow, I just watched that video. I'm as pro-metal as the next guy (I like old Metallica, Megadeath, Guns and Roses, Dream Theater...) but, I'm sorry, how is it possible that this is a big band? That was one of the most unmusical experiences my ears have ever imbibed. Maybe the audio was horrible and their studio stuff is better?

Well that is unless the congress voted to attack him.

I gave up on metal when the cookie monster vocalist or the 1/8th of an octave range singer took over and the drummer beat the living shit out if his ride cymbal the whole concert..

Agreed. I noticed this as well.
All it takes to support Ron Paul is a humanitarian mindset. Nothing predominantly group-based.

Ron Paul's foreign policy is far more nuanced than setting the world on fire because Congress approves it. To suggest that he would command a non-defensive war is ludicrous on its face.

Uh, Ron would have done nothing different FDR did. Japan and Germany declared war on us, then our Congress declared war.

Feeding the Abscess's stance: good for truth.

Some of the other candidates try to attract diversity just for the sake of diversity - artificial diversity.

Liberty is a message that unifies us all.

The "he wouldn't attack Hitler!" meme is a revival of the old "1936 isolationist" smear of the America Firsters. The implication being that they didn't want to attack Hitler in 1936; it had nothing to do with the declared war that occurred after Germany declared war on us.

Also, Ron would have acted very differently than FDR. See this thread for more:
