Two days in a row up is good. It'll be interesting to see if the upwards trend continues and Gingrich continues to trend downward.

And that is only Republican registered voters despite all the open primary states.

Backman is also growing daily by 1%. She went from 5% to 7%

but Ron does much better with independents and cross overs, who Gallup is not showing, not wanting to give Dems ideas imho. Gallup pushes for the Dem ticket.

In any event, while it shows up 1 pt today, she didn't go up yesterday http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?335714-12-7-Daily-Gallup-Tracking

don't worry about bachmann. republicans aren't even remotely stupid enough to nominate her against obama. it'd be the biggest landslide in history, and obama would be president another 4 years (probably for the best in that case).

In one more day, the Cain results will be off the poll. Cain was included December 1 - 3, and results are a rolling 5 day average, so currently December 3 - 7. They've been replacing Cain with second choice, but for voters who didn't give one, it may move the results a bit more.

yeah... expect to see big shifts tomorrow when they go from substitution for cain to actually not having him in the poll.

Newt would be a massacre too. Ron and Romney are the only ones with a chance of beating Obama -- polls show this too.

And I for one don't want Romney as president ...

i know. it's amazing to me how powerful the media is in that they can keep the "ron can't win" meme alive while all of the available data (which they also report on) directly contradicts what they're saying. talking points memos are a powerful thing.

So... Is this the beginning of the end for Newt? +2% in 2 days with next to no media coverage is awesome.

It won't be plausible for them to deny electability much longer. That meme will be dead less than 30 days from now.

You should realize that a lot of this is simply statistical noise. People shouldn't be disappointed if Ron goes back down to 8% in a couple of days. It's the long term trends that actually matter.

I won't be disappointed. It's a national poll.

By the start of next week, I expect to see us at around 13%.

Drudge this as "Newt losing steam, Paul gaining ground."

If we are to "believe" or "rely" on these polls it seems to me that Herman Cain would be president by now.

Maybe, but if it continues in the same direction for a few days, it's a trend.
