I personally went to the political office building in TN today to drop off my petition to be an at-large delegate, she said that there was a STACK of Ron Paul petitions about 8 IN. high JUST FOR TODAY

She also said there was a guy from District 2 who turned in a petition with 127 signatures but 28 of those we're from another district, lol, I hope he gets that voicemail in time... I think we're pretty well covered in this state guys, no sweat.

I Still wish we could've helped that guy from District 8 get enough, but no one found an event...

Keep working hard. Don't let apathy on the word of the internet take hold

So, Oklahoma is a closed primary state. And I haven't held, and do not hold any sort of political office. Can I and should I apply to become a delegate?

Sorry for my ignorance. I am very interested, though.

We have 6 delegates who are over the 100 mark, although what you said about 28 being bad is a bit worrisome. I think I'll turn what I have in today and pick up another sheet to grab a few more this evening.

You should try to become one if there's still time, don't worry, this is my first time too, the hardest part is getting signatures, that might take a month... you should apply at http://www.ronpaul2012.com/delegate/

also ask for more info on the Ron Paul 2012 Delegates page Here: http://www.facebook.com/RonPaulDelegates2012

It's interesting to note that when I Googled "Oklahoma delegate process" it sent me to Ron Paul Forums for the answer. ;)

I hope you don't forget your "Declaration of Candidacy" paper you have to sign to be a delegate, here's the email info out on that:

Ron Paul Delegates,

This is a reminder that you must also include the Declaration of Candidacy, along with your signed petitions, in your submission to the Secretary of State.

If you do not have both of these forms submitted by Noon this Thursday your candidacy will not be accepted.

If you have already submitted your petitions and you forgot to send in your Declaration of Candidacy you can still overnight that tomorrow.

Please make plans to do this immediately.

Also if you have completed your petition, or plan on completing it, and have yet to speak with me, either on the phone or through email, please do so right away or you will not be an official Ron Paul delegate. We need to submit a list of delegates to the Secretary of State whom we endorse.

We are almost there. Please do everything you can to get your paperwork in on time.

Thanks,
