Doherty: Ron Paul, Still Rising (http://reason.com/blog/2011/12/06/ron-paul-still-rising)

As increasing awareness of the inherently low quality of the rest of the prospective GOP presidential field seeps across the minds of the populace, Ron Paul continues to get strange new respect and even stranger refusals to acknowledge his existence.

A survey of some of the latest:
[...]
*A bit of a reach, yes, but Obama's much-ballyhooed Kansas speech today seems almost designed to run against Ron Paul, with a desperate repetition of the standard "market-failure" line about what Paul would argue was a monetary and regulation caused crash, and a frontal attack on not the actual policies of the Republican Party but on legal condictions before Teddy Roosevelt and the Progressive era, you know, that 19th century that Paul's foes accuse him of living in.

Love Doherty. If anyone's unaware, he has a great thick book on the history of libertarianism called Radicals for Capitalism. It covers just about every branch of libertarianism and how they've influenced each other, from Lysander Spooner to the Koch brothers to Pope Bob and the Turkey Curse. It's a very entertaining read and provides a lot of insight.

Me too Kluge. I haven't read RfC yet, but I intend to. He's also writing a book on the RP Revolution (http://www.amazon.com/Ron-Pauls-rEVOLution-Movement-Inspired/dp/0062114794).

I just checked to see if RfC was on kindle, but it's not. I requested it though!
