I can't believe what is happening. As i type here from my hospital bed i read:

Rush Limbaugh saying Paul will win
Big Dog Ad praised all over the media, even NPR
Glen Beck attacking Newt
Cain dropping out, and the forum moderator endorsing paul
Ron Paul leading Romney in the polls.

Did I leave anything out?..I feel like i'm in some kinda of episode of Fringe, where i've shifted into another, bizarro reality in which paul is popular.

There apparently is a real risk he could win, isn't there?

Yes.

The last hurdle is getting through to the "casual voters." These are the people who vote based on what they see in the mainstream media. The numbers of these people are massive. The "casual voter" theory explains the mercurial support first for Bachmann, then Perry, then Cain, and now Gingrich.

The mainstream media gave them a surge of coverage and they would enjoy a subsequent surge in the polls. Now that Cain is gone, many of these voters may go Gingrich.

There is a strong chance RP wins Iowa and takes 2nd in New Hampshire. After that, there are tough battles in South Carolina and Florida...

Yeah, what tipped me off was that Fringe didn't air until 2008, and even then, you'd have to watch a couple seasons to get into the alternate reality stuff he referenced.
