When Ron Paul mentioned "The Law" by Bastiat in the Huckabee forum the other night as his "suggested reading", he inspired me to come up with some more titles that I think would be beneficial for anyone who wanted to learn more about liberty and/or free market economics. A lot of you have probably already read some of these, but I thought I would post these anyway cause I'm bored and I like making lists ;)

These are all freely available and most are rather short and easy to understand, they don't require you to have any specific knowledge beforehand.

1. The Law - Bastiat (http://mises.org/resources/6299)
(found in here)

2. Government - Bastiat (http://mises.org/resources/6299)
(found in here)

3. Economics in One Lesson - Henry Hazlitt (http://mises.org/books/economics_in_one_lesson_hazlitt.pdf)

4. What Has Government Done to our Money? - Murray Rothbard (http://mises.org/resources/617/What-Has-Government-Done-to-Our-Money)

5. Gold, Peace, and Prosperity - Ron Paul (http://mises.org/resources/3150)

6. Profit and Loss - Ludwig Von Mises (http://mises.org/resources/3736)

7. Left and Right: The Prospect for Liberty - Murray Rothbard (http://mises.org/resources/1016)

8. Great Myths of the Great Depression - Reed (http://www.fee.org/articles/great-myths-of-the-great-depression/)

9. I, Pencil - Leonard Read (http://www.fee.org/library/books/i-pencil-2/)

10. The Road to Serfdom (Condensed Version) - F.A. Hayek (http://mises.ch/library/Hayek_Road_to_Serfdom_RD_condensed.pdf)

Anyway, let me know what you think of these if you've read any of them and also suggest more that you can think of! :)

"No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority" by Lysander Spooner.

50 short and simple pages that will brutally tear away the government's veil of legitimacy in your mind once and for all. Best not to make this one of your *first* liberty books though, because it's very potent medicine. Get your feet wet with Hayek, Hazlitt, and Bastiat...then wade in slowly.
