View Full Version : Could Rush Limbaugh Be Mad About "Serial Hypocrisy"?

Rush was unusually nasty earlier.

I came to realize that maybe Rush is unhappy with being portrayed in an attack ad against Newt, because he does not have control of it and unwittingly becomes an enemy to Newt, which I am sure he wants to avoid even if he says negative things.

We shouldn't worry obsessively about Rush, but the man is heard by millions.

Yes. I do. Otherwise I think the bloviator would be pimping it to boost his inflated ego.

I don't think he was so much pissed about being used in the ad. I think he was pissed because he knew he was being baited.

Rush is clever enough to figure out what the campaign was doing. It worked for Drudge. We wanted an ad that will get the right-leaning media talking about Ron Paul. We got it. Rush doesn't like being manipulated in this fashion. My take is that he couldn't care less about Newt. He cares about Rush. You will notice that even when he is attacking Paul, he isn't mentioning the ad.

This ad has worked wonders, but in order to control Rush's next move, you're going to have to think a couple of moves ahead.

He's in "Trying to salvage my base and radio show" mode. He's in defense mode from being looked at as a hypocrite in the eyes of his followers. He's in a corner right now and depending on how he handles it, it potentially could blow up in his face.

This^

And there you have it
Some of you don't get Rush at all....

Rush's best period of his show was the 8 years Clinton was POTUS. Rush cares about RATINGS....How HE is portrayed. How much people listen to HIM.

When the demon left child Clinton was in power....Rush had his best stuff on display..He made millions.

He'd do best to re-invent himself. People are waking up and his rhetoric no longer garners affection.

Simultaneously, RP's ratings are on the rise. :)

Hey all you libertarian apologists out there -- get your own radio shows so we can follow you instead of fake conservatives like the Limbaugh.

This^^ That's why I don't get all that stirred up about Rush L's BS. It's not working the way it used to. Rush is behind the curve in adapting to the way information is spread now.

Did anyone catch him saying that anyone can put anything up on Twitter or Facebook, even if it's not true?

Conversely, Rush, anyone can PROVE THAT YOU'RE LYING on Twitter and Facebook by providing factual evidence.

He also said something today about the Government keeping track of everything people put on these social websites. OOGA-BOOGA.

This thread got me to thinking that Ron has been SERIOUSLY taking on the status quo with his attacks on Newt (and Rush) and Donald Trump.

LOVE it.

Rush makes me sad. He's actually very good at analyzing the corrupt media, he just needs to take his partisan blinders off.

I really get the impression he just doesn't know where to go yet. He doesn't want to support a loser and he is concerned about coming out of this looking foolish and irrelevant. (not that he isn't already! :p )

And Ron's obviously making an impact at all levels. Insider discussions must be quite lively these days. Wonder how many insiders have been having meetings with Ron? I'd bet a line is beginning to form.

I'd like to see Rush's listenership ratings this time next year. A decline would represent that America is waking up.

Rush doesn't care about Newt. I'm sure he knew his words would eventually be used in a political ad. He just didn't expect it to be used by Ron Paul.

Don't have the current stats, but as of May 23 this year, Rush's ratings were down 30% just during the previous 6 months (http://articles.businessinsider.com/2011-05-23/entertainment/30096092_1_imus-limbaugh-premiere-radio-networks)!
