I usually watch CBS Evening News every weekday and was shocked that they even mentioned Ron Paul's name b/c I've been watching them for almost 3 years now and they NEVER mention him. I was really surprised and decided to check out the other networks and was pleasantly surprised to see Ron Paul was covered by everyone today. True, he was just thrown a bone and the stories all focused on the Gingrich "surge", but it is a vast improvement over the complete blackout he has gotten from the big three OTA networks (PBS has been relatively much more fair in the past to Paul, not sure about this election b/c I usually haven't been watching them)

Color me shocked - they actually INTERVIEWED Ron Paul for today's segment: "Could Ron Paul be the next president?"

The others from that first day only mentioned his name - the main story was the 3 frontrunners and Gingrich's "surge". But they have full episodes on their websites so you can go back and check Dec 5 if you want:

Dr. Paul's support is heaver, thus weighting him down. The media decided to use this graph as a visual representation of this more solid support which couldn't be represented by mere percentage numbers alone.

This can also be seen in the graph by the much lighter 28% support of Newt Gingrich.
