Just when you think you've heard it all, another load of crap rolls by. In early may, an Albuquerque 13-year-old boy is arrested after belching in class. The boy apparently burped loud during a physical education class, and the teacher called the police officer (assigned to that campus) to make her complaint. For disrupting class, the boy was hand cuffed and transported to juvenile detention, and without his parents being notified.
Then in early Nov, at same Bernalillo County school, pulled aside the same 13-year-old-boy for suspicion of selling marijuana. He was stripped down to his underwear in front of five adults, no marijuana was found, and no charges were filed. On Wednesday on lawsuit was filed by attorney Shannon Kennedy, along with other cases against the Bernalillo County school district. The district has over 200 claims of hand cuffing students over the past 3 years, including a 7-year-old with autism who was hand cuffed to his wheel chair.
