View Full Version : Ron Paul should go after the TSA more often and harder in the debates and elsewhere.

The TSA is something that gets conservatives as angry if not more than liberals.
And Ron Paul wants to eliminate it, meaning no more strip searches, molestation, and naked pictures.
And NONE of the other candidates would do anything about it!
We should own this issue, it should be brought up in every debate by Ron Paul.

It is something that, unlike foreign policy, you don't have to convince conservatives about. They already hate the TSA, believe me.

While I am against the TSA, this poll seems to suggest Americans are okay with it, so I'm not sure that it should be something to mention in debates:

Taken a year ago. With all the negative press on them, especially from conservative talk radio hosts, I would be very surprised if you found me a poll saying most conservatives support it now.

This recent poll seems to show that only 36% of Americans support the scanners: http://thenewamerican.com/usnews/health-care/10127-half-of-americans-opposed-to-x-ray-scanners-says-poll

The poll you cited was from 2010 before all the controversy in the news.

It's changed a lot since a year ago, because of all the news. People are disgusted. NO OTHER candidate is opposed to the TSA. This is a WINNING issue for us.
