I'm waiting for GOP debate that will have Rumsfeld or Cheney as guest questioners. GOP debates with mid level neocon guests like Wolfowitz or Trump are passe now.

Shit. I totally missed this and didn't even know/realize that there was another debate tonight.

A friend of mine posted this on facebook, which I *LOVE*.

Forum moderator: "If you could tell everyone to read one book, what would it be?"
Ron Paul: "The Law by Bastiat, the idea that if you can't do it, then neither can the government. If you can't rob your neighbor, then you shouldn't be able to send a politician to do it for you."

Definitely wanna catch this on youtube. Can someone post it? I'm assuming it's over.

Not his best showing, but not bad. He forgot about the 17th Amendment. Also, if he's having trouble hearing them, he needs to not act like it's his fault. Instead of the old guy response of "EEHHHH?! Whaddya say sonny?!" he needs to say "Can you repeat the question please. You've got the volume too low in my earpiece." or something along those lines to make it clear that it's Fox News's audio problem and not his age (which is how it comes across).

And on the question about Oklahoma City and 9/11, he needs to respond with "Those attacks were as bad as they were because of bureaucratic failure. We had the intelligence to stop them, but our bloated federal agencies couldn't communicate with themselves. We don't need more government to stop these attacks, we need more efficient government, which means serious cuts in it's size. And specifically with the attacks from Muslim extremists, we need to look at what incites them to such psychotic behavior and not encourage that."

Dare say that Ron was not as prepared for this one as he has been for the others.

He'll move past it :). You should send those suggestions to Doug Wead though (although I'm sure he's already aware).
