Yes, we need to put to rest the bickering about the dates. December 16th is the donation day. Now I'm a fan of doing other stuff and making a whole weekend thing. However, for something like a donation drive to be successful we need to make it paramount, put it much higher on the priority list. Why? The reason is that we're talking about giving money away. Nobody will do that lightly nor should they. Hence, the more we cloud the actual act of donating with whatever else the more confusing it will become and then the more anxious and uncommitted the person donating may become. Our goal is donations. We need to keep that our focus and keep it simple and concise. Everything else must be either in support of that goal, added benefits, or at least understood that the donating is far more important than anything else.
