Actually this is a hit piece. Milton friedmans views on drup legalization means nothing as he is dead and gone. She is intentionally intending to harm RP with the republican electorate by emphasizing the one issue that is a hard sell to republicans. There are a hell of a lot of issues the republican agree with RP but she had to pick this one.
