Running back Peyton Hillis talked about his encouraging performance — in a game, finally — healthy body, big plans for the last five games and desire to stay in Cleveland.

For a change this season, Hillis had reason to smile. And he shared the joy.

Asked by right tackle Tony Pashos to wear Ron Paul gear during his time with reporters Thursday, Hillis went all-out. He wore a bumper sticker on his orange Browns hat, one on his T-shirt and a button for the Republican presidential candidate.

“That was awesome, man,” tight end Benjamin Watson told Hillis.

Pashos is a die-hard Paul supporter and has been stumping for votes in the locker room all season, but watching Hillis parade around like a campaign poster had the feel of part-hazing, part-welcome back. All good-natured.
