Perry has a new ad for Iowa, poking fun at his "Oops" moment. The interesting thing is, it features Ron Paul in the intro! Free advertising!

Oh my word, the way he turns to the camera when it cuts to him had me rolling. This is the stupidest ad I've ever seen. Way to remind voters about your horrible debate performance.

Rick Perry revealed that he wanted to be a veterinarian when he grew up, but failed organic chemistry in college. That's too bad. I can picture Dr. Oops nursing a baby calf back to health, but not in the White House.

In a time when people are clinging to Newt because he would great at debating Obama, it's probably a bad time to say "If you want a slick debater, I'm obviously not your guy"

Also, why the hell is it titled "Leno Ad"? Is it supposed to be a parody?

The new spot, which is set to air in Iowa during his appearance Thursday on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," is the third commercial released from Team Perry in the last 24 hours.

What a bad ad. Why does he keep bringing it up.

ET is reporting a new Kardashian wedding is imminent featuring Kourtney this time. The point is this nation has a short attention span.

Why remind them of your gaffes when they would have already forgot.

If you want a slick debater, don't look at me. Check out the Grinch, he's the Master bater... uh, de-bater. Sorry about that, Newt.

I'm Rick Perry, and I'd approve this message if I understood it.

Well this is a first.. Society has fallen to the point that candidates are actually runnings ad trying to appeal to people by touting how idiotic they are.

Except for the very end, didn't actually think it was that bad. Campaign is obviously on its last legs and not going anywhere. Do love how overly fabricated his facial expressions look, it makes him look like a flight attendent.

"I am not a witch" ring a bell.

Regardless if you are or aren't a witch or bad debater. The ad was just awful. And no, I don't want some balanced budget Amendment scheme nor a 20% flat income tax.

There's a marketing strategy where if you emphasize your weaknesses, potential customers will see you as honest (think Avis' "we try harder" "the 1970 VW will stay uglier longer). I think some handlers are trying to transfer this to their candidates and it's not working because emphasizing your stupidity doesn't work.

"Walmart, our registers have long lines because our low prices are worth it!"

I thought that Cain's 9/11 ad was the worst. He had footage of the planes crashing into the twin towers in his ad..

lulz, this was actually hilarious. Objectively, I don't think it'll do him any good, he's already cooked, but it was funny, and I kinda enjoyed it.

Not a good ad overall, but I do think his move to make himself seem warm and not taking himself too seriously is a good way to play it.

It's not nearly as bad as "I am not a witch." That ad suffered from the fact that the subconscious does not properly recognize negatives. In hypnosis, this is known as pharsing. It is due to the fact that your subconscious has to reference some type of visual or other indicator of a witch, which is then associated with Christine.

Perry's ad is not as bad, as even at its worse (you remember a bumbling moment that you had), it plays to sympathy. But beyond that, the ad doesn't really accomplish much, and would seem to be a bad investment.
