I don't rep very often, OP's post is worthy.

I already disliked all of the other candidates in 2007. I just needed to know Ron Paul existed, and then I came aboard! I don't think my experience is useful to me in converting new supporters.

Dr. Paul handed the Gringrich ad very well by focusing on substance and using his own statements to highlight the unreasonableness of his actions, we should follow his example.

I agree. This is what works. Gingrich dug his own hole by telling people whatever they want to hear so he can gain power. Ron Paul's team used Gingrich's own words against him. Smart move. It will be very tough for Gingrich to use that same tactic on the principled Dr. Ron Paul.

Indeed. My reaction with a Newt boost was "wtf, him? this guy, are you serious?". Of course that was my same reaction to Cain and Bachmann before.

It's really hard sometimes considering the insanity some of these guys endorse.

We Have to try. "Love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you, bless them that curse you, do good to those that mistreat you"

Agreed. People do not change their minds after being belittled, they only dig in further.

Yeah, once you put someone on the defensive, the chance for a fruitful conversation just kind of goes out the window.

Dr. Paul promotes changing minds by example and rationality, not force and aggression.

Well said.

Good thought. Even if we disagree and make points elsewhere, we should do it in a nice a tone as possible.
