In a grand moment reminiscent of the fabled words of Nikita Khrushchev over 30,000 online Ron Paul supporters, with middle fingers raised high, made actual contributions in excess of $4.2 million dollars in just one 24 hour period on November 5, 2007.

This online amount is probably the largest ever for any candidate, although some are saying that John Kerry after the Democrat Nomination for President raised over $5 million in a single day. This amount if true does not break down the online amount from other contributions but it is probably safe to say that he did not get the majority from online sources.

The media is shocked but like in most other things they will get it wrong this time also. Even with the Khrushchev quote they got it wrong.

Speaking some years later in Yugoslavia, Khrushchev himself remarked, "I once said, 'We will bury you,' and I got into trouble with it. Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you", a nod to the popular Marxist saying, "The proletariat is the undertaker of capitalism." Khrushchev later went on to explain that socialism would replace capitalism in the same manner that capitalism itself supplanted feudalism.

Of course Ron Paul is about as far from Socialism as you can get, but the sentiment of the statement still applies but should be rewritten as follows: "Ron Paul went on to explain that Constitutional Freedom would replace Global Fascism in the same manner that Global Fascism itself supplanted the Founding Father's original intent of 1776.

That's actually an oddly non-spoofy article.

That's actually an oddly non-spoofy article.

That's what I thought! But the Spoof does that depending on the writer.
