We would like to introduce Ron Paul Country (http://www.ronpaulcountry.com/launch), the new grassroots tool for

locating and contacting fellow Ron Paul supporters and activists nationwide,
organizing events promoting Ron Paul
increasing turnouts at events promoting Ron Paul.

Our main goal is to bring together all the activists, supporters, and organizers into a single database, which would make it easier to locate and contact Ron Paul supporters nationwide, to suggest events, and to organize events more efficiently. Here are the features we offer to locate and communicate with Ron Paul supporters registered at RonPaulCountry.com:

nationwide map of Ron Paul supporters/activists, with location marker for each registered site user
map-search for site users by State, County, and Zipcode
user-to-user contact via private messages
suggest an event to site administrators, who send out emails to site users located near the proposed event
other features to be added

To register with RonPaulCountry.com, every user is required to submit:

working email (activation link is sent there)
City
County
State
Zip

Aside from those organizational features, the site includes

early-state info (election data from 2008, donation data from FEC for Q2 and Q3 2011, and Campaign Headquarters info)
New Hampshire Events feeds
Ron Paul news feeds
Ron Paul Twitter feeds
RealClearPolitics poll feeds for Iowa and New Hampshire
Tea Party '11 Moneybomb banner and SuperVoter Bomb banner
site statistics (top user registrations by state, users registered over time)

Public promotion for RonPaulCountry.com has already begun and has been generously funded by the Ron Paul grassroots - members of Ron Paul Forums. In Iowa, we have launched print and online ads which are currently running at the Iowa State University, The University of Iowa in Iowa City, and the University of Northern Iowa:

____________________________________________

What we need now is support from the grassroots supporters, activists, and leaders on Ron Paul Forums, and, of course, from Ron Paul Forums as well. This isn't a competition - it is a coalition, and we are worried about the current state of grassroots organization in the early states, so we have invested our time and skills to come up with an alternative to help streamline things within the grassroots community from the organizational point of view.

Just the other day, we had a Ron Paul supporter contact RonPaulCountry.com from New Hampshire asking for some Ron Paul supplies, so this request immediately got posted here on Ron Paul Forums, and Shem immediately offered to help take care of that. That's the sort of organization we want to streamline. Having the grassroots organized by location isn't something that has been previously available in quite this way, and we received a lot of very positive feedback from New Jersey Liberty Headquarters, as well as from a LOT of our currently registered users.

We're not sure about the state of Meet-ups in Iowa and New Hampshire (would IDefendThePlatform please stand up? :D), but we would like to get those meet-up leaders on board, get registered, and encourage their meet-up groups to also register at RonPaulCountry, to help bring them out of the shadows and engage them not only locally but County-wide and/or State-wide.

The RonPaulCountry.com Team really needs other Ron Paul supporters' help to promote RonPaulCountry.com as hard as possible in as many places as possible.

So far, our site promotion has been by the word of mouth on Facebook and Twitter, and it has basically just been me trying to get the word out. We need people with Twitter accounts and a long list of followers to tweet about RonPaulCountry.com and encourage users to register. We need people to share our site on Facebook. We need other Ron Paul websites to put our banner up on their websites (and we do the same for theirs).

Site development and improvement is still on-going, and we're absolutely open to feedback for new features or for improving what we have currently.

Last but not least, please go to RonPaulCountry.com (http://www.ronpaulcountry.com/launch) and register. It's easier to attract more supporters when you have a lot in the first place and when the US map doesn't look quite so bare. You may think, "well, I'm already an activist, I know all the supporters in my area, and I'm already fully informed" - by being there, you will help us grow and develop faster. And the faster we grow and develop, the better we can help the grassroots organization in the time that we have left before early-state contests.

Thank you all for your support!

P.S. Our site banner is

http://www.ronpaulcountry.com/sites/all/themes/bluemasters/images/logos/rpcountry.jpg

and the HTML code to include it on a partner website is:

<a href="http://www.ronpaulcountry.com/launch"><img src="http://www.ronpaulcountry.com/sites/all/themes/bluemasters/images/logos/rpcountry.jpg" alt="Ron Paul Country" style="border-style: none" /></a>

I actually had this idea in 2007-2008 and needed help from web developers to make this reality but was shot down by the pessimists.

I love this! just registered.

Thank you! We're gonna need your muscle on the social networks to promote consistently - that's much-much-needed for this concept to succeed.

Thank you! I'm sure we weren't the only ones to think of this, but it definitely wasn't easy putting the resources together to actually make it happen. It takes a lot of developer hours, a lot of design hours, time to think things through from conception. Finding other developers and graphic designers to help orenbus and I put the site together has been a huge challenge. We have had another Jersey guy working with us on the graphics, off and on as his schedule allows.

This tool really has a lot of potential. To realize that potential, we need more users registering and promoting the site. We can do some great things here.

If you don't want to enter the city/zip of your actual voting/residence address, you can always enter the nearby city/zip - that way we can still classify your location for figuring out who's in the vicinity of a certain meet-up, while giving you a peace of mind.

Also if anyone knows of any event calenders out there that we can aggregate or have ideas of information we can collect and graph, additional coordination, or communication applications that we can custom build please let us know. We have the capability to build out new tools or modify and enhance the current system based on your ideas.

We are currently working on some communication and collection software in the backend right now, should have some more for you this weekend. :)

2 problems.

1) It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to register, and i'm very internet savvy.

2) Push people to enter their mobile phone numbers. This is more important than their location. texting allows for instant targeted communication among the grassroots.

Thanks for the feedback, what steps did you take to register? Did you go through the ronpaulcountry.com/splash page (initial page) or did you click on a register link on the site? Do you have any suggestions how we could make the registration process easier? Perhaps more register links on the site?

Regards to the mobile phone information, do you think then that the registration form needs to be reorganized to have phone towards the top of the list?

Thanks again for your feedback we will look to make some changes to the areas you described.

Esotetic - thanks for the feedback.

Which way did you use to register? Did you use the blue "splash page" with the big Ron Paul graphic on it, or did you follow the "Register" link from the front page and then filled out a plain-looking black-and-white form?

What specifically was the difficulty with the registration process?

I'd love to hear more about that, so we can make improvements.

Thank you! Well we're still barely a week old since we started actively promoting, but we do need more people -- both to promote RonPaulCountry.com (http://www.ronpaulcountry.com/launch) and REGISTER. We're most powerful when united.

For those who are really concerned about privacy/security, you can enter the city/zip/county of your neighboring town.

You need to make a cool page to share on facebook.

I think when you share on Facebook, it only shows a little square picture/logo, so our site logo comes up when you share. What would be better? I thought about showing a map in that preview image, but it won't be readable since the image is so small.

Just sharing the link to the main page - www.ronpaulcountry.com/launch - should work just fine. Just say in the text of your submission something like "New tool to help Ron Paul supporters organize and plan events - nationwide map included!"

Could you add, somewhere, maybe, "Paid Canvassers Wanted" Over Christmas Break.

At some point in time, Let's say December 28, we might want to be able to hit a whole bunch of Iowans to do lit drops or something else.

If you make reference to the possibility of money, you might find more people signing up.

Let's flesh that idea out a little bit...

Would we have a chip-in to finance those canvassers? I'd hate to do a bait-n-switch on them, so if we're advertising money, there better be some money there...

Is "Christmas with Ron Paul" filled by now? If not, we could advertise that...

Yes. Bait and Switch. A potential problem. You could say sign up if your interested in that. Perhaps you can avoid promising that.

I think the official Christmas program is where volunteers get free food, free shelter for a while.

This would be targeting Iowans. They don't need free foor or free shelter. They're eating dinner with their parents and sleeping at their parents house.

The ads are hitting 2 colleges (if memory serves) Iowa State and U Iowa. They're going to their parents house in 2 weeks. Iowa State is done on Friday December 16.
U Iowa is done Friday December 16. UNI done at the same time. They all leave those towns at that time and go home to their parents.

Ron Paul will be at Iowa State on December 8 and UNI on the same day.

There should be as many people on the ground there, signing up as many of the students there for as many activities, including paid canvassing, as possible.

That's the opportunity right there.

I've been arguing that we shouldn't be using the USPS to mail Lit. Or, if we had paid canvassers to do it, we should have the paid canvassers do it.

This is either ronpaulproducts or revpac that I'm talking about. Each of them are spending tens of thousands of dollars, if not a hundred thousand dollars, right to the USPS, the federal government.

If someone said "hey, we have paid canvassers, can we deliver this lit, and the lit people sent you the money, there you go. Tens of thousands of dollars, from the Lit people to the Paid Canvassers, through the organizers.

I think it's a good idea -- I'd like to put a banner up encouraging Iowans to sign up so they can coordinate with grassroots leaders on canvassing, free supplies, etc...

We're also thinking about putting something up to advertise Ron's Phone from Home...

Folks, we need a LOT more of you to check out RonPaulCountry and sign up.

This is a serious effort to classify Ron Paul supporters by location (doesn't even need to be an EXACT location if you're worried), streamline event planning, and help boost attendance at Ron Paul events (sign waves, meet-ups, etc).

Please spread the word - promotion of this website is key. It's not for our power trip, and it's not for our personal benefit - it's all to make sure Ron Paul wins.

Phone From Home is definitely a critical part of Voter ID and GOTV.

You're running ads in school newspapers in Iowa. Decent ads by the way. They include Iowa Caucus and January 3. The data you get should be shared with those people who need that data. Or you could hit the Iowans with the message about paid canvassing, or volunteer canvassing. I'm not sure who the people who want the data are. It's easy enough to look at your site and see if there are a lot of iowans signed up. And you certainly are a stickler about getting the Geo data. So, if there are Iowans there, you'll see them.

Please register with RonPaulCountry.com!

Those of you who already registered - thank you! Please help us out by promoting RonPaulCountry.com on social networks - Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr.

We'll put up the red Iowa banner on the site soon to get attention of the college kids seeing our newspaper ads and coming to check out the site. I had a chat with one of them on the site, and he was just briefly checking it out and asked what the purpose of the site was and how it can help Ron Paul, so I explained, and he said he will definitely register.

So I've been working on the "About" page to present as clear a case as possible about how RonPaulCountry will be beneficial for both ordinary Ron Paul supporters and grassroots leaders. See our "About" page and give me some feedback on the presentation there - if it's a quick read, easy to understand, etc.

I'm also working on improving the "FAQ" and adding more content there.

Thanks! Great to have you on board. And thank you to other members of the forum also who didn't post here but went ahead and registered with RonPaulCountry.com - I recognize some names from here.

We only need about 10 more users to hit the 200 mark! Let's get 'er done! :-)

We broke 200-user mark before the end of the day, and I'm pleased.

But boy this sure is taking a lot of promotion. This thing should be spreading like wildfire - now come on, hop to it, people. Make it easier to mobilize the troops anywhere in the nation - and that's what you're doing by registering with RonPaulCountry.com, as we're creating a nationwide database of Ron Paul volunteers mapped and sorted by location.

I know we got more to go here at Ron Paul Forums!

Suggestion: modify or add to this:

Activities
What grassroots volunteer activities would you like to see organized or participate in?

Volunteer or Paid
Would you participate in Volunteer activites, Paid Activites, or Both?

and the choices in your dropdown would be Volunteer, Paid, Both

Official or Grassroots
Would you work for the Official Campaign, a PAC or Grassroots, or Both?

and the choices in your dropdown would be

Official, Grassroots, Both.

I would think that since you're advertising in Iowa, spending money there, and since Iowa is the first caucus, and everyone is putting a lot of effort into Iowa, you should focus on Iowa. Join all the Iowa / Ron Paul Facebook groups, the local ones in Iowa. Focus on Des Moines, and the colleges that you're hitting with the ads.
Youth For Ron Paul chapters in all of the Iowa Schools. Those are the people you are trying to reach. Also go to all the meetups. Join all the Iowa meetups.
Tell them about the site, and have them join.

Suggestion: Add meta tags or whatever it is that facebook pulls descriptions from. There is no description when you share or post the link; it just sys "Ron Paul Country Splash Page." I just used some of the bullet points from the first post in this thread... But I (and many others, lol) am usually too lazy to bother doing that, especially when posting from a mobile device. We got a design facelift at Ron Paul Country, and we implemented the banner to encourage Iowa Students to register. We still need more support from grassroots leaders, supporters, and volunteers. A centralized database of Ron Paul supporters, visualized on a nationwide map, can really help communicate about local-area events and boost attendance. So please support us and register.

As far as Facebook preview thumbnail/description, we had that working! But for some reason, Facebook doesn't pull an image or a title properly for Ron Paul Country anymore. When our developer is able to look into it, we'll get that fixed.

D.A.S.

We need some feedback and suggestions on functionality from the grassroots leaders. Perhaps you could give us a try, submit an event to us, and let us send out some emails on your behalf to supporters registered with us.

RonPaulCountry.com exists to streamline event organization and promotion by providing the ability to locate Ron Paul supporters in the vicinity of any event nationwide and the ability to contact all of those supporters located near an event via email.

We're getting more traffic, more users, and a lot of enthusiasm from people who discover the site. This is wonderful. Some hot-spots have enough people registered to organize events/meet-ups. Let's make it happen all over the country!

Don't be a skeptic - sign up today :-)

http://www.facebook.com/events/327707350578513/ - That's a facebook page for the Ron Paul at Iowa State Rally. There will be thousands of students there, presumably. You should be trying to hit those people. Everyone should be trying to hit those people. As many of those people can be put in as many databases as possible. Money should somehow find its way from whereever, to the people who are walking around the crowd, getting people to fill out forms.

There's also a UNI one the same day. You could find your worker from the people that are attending that event.

Thanks for that link, that lead me to the Iowa Facebook schedule of events which for some reason or other could not find it on Facebook a week ago. Have integrated their schedule by doing automatic data grabs based on their facebook page post to keep new events and changes live on the site, appreciate it. The main launch page has been updated to add the Iowa facebook schedule. If you or anyone else knows of locations of data we may want to aggregate on the site from other sources on the net please let us know. Thanks again.

I registered yesterday, got my brother signed up tonight. Just posted to my local RP FB group.

There should be a clear and concise description that tells people exactly what the site will help them accomplish.

OG meta tags should be working now, if you notice anything out of wack please let us know. The problem before was the system was generating extra tags that were overriding the tags we actually wanted FB to pick up, this should be fixed now. Thanks again for the heads up.

Just signed up. Love it. Could be better than starting meetups with no fees. I'll spread it, thanks!

Thank you! Of course there will be no fees :-) And yes, we will be able to replace meet-ups. Currently, we already have functionality to help organize events and email members located in the vicinity of an event. You can post your event on a BLOG page with event specifics and also location-tag the event in the BLOG post, and you can email us (CONTACT form) to let us know about the event. We'll be watching those BLOG posts, though.

This will be improved in the near future, but for now it's a ready feature.

Thank you! It's definitely making a difference. Some places already have quite a few members in localized areas, which means meet-ups can be organized through us and those members near the event location can be contacted about a meet-up event being organized.

We'd like to be able to do this throughout the country and especially in the critical early states! Keep it up, folks - sign up at

Currently looking for someone that spends a bit of time on forums to work with us and keep us in the loop on any community technical or digital needs that come out of brainstorming discussions on the threads in grassroots central and on daily paul. Hey Guys, quick question for all of you I'm currently working on developing the Events area of the site which will soon be populated with data from a few hundred events country-wide here:

http://www.ronpaulcountry.com/events

And thinking we should probably set it up so that there are different icons for the types of events such as signwaves, canvassing, rallies, lit. drops, meetings etc. Eventually this data and icons associated to types of events will be merged into our main map on the launch page.

So my question is what types of events should we define?

I'm hoping to have this wrapped up this weekend so any input is greatly appreciated.

Off the top of my head, I could think of a sign wave... meet-up... phone-banking... as different types of events we could put on.

Love the site, great job guys. :)

When I think of event categories, here's what comes to mind:

Phone Banking
Door to Door
Sign Wave
Strategy Meetup
Town Hall
GOP Event
Straw Poll
Media Appearance
Debate
Caucus
Primary
Ron Paul Will Be Present
Moneybomb [not sure if you want to list these because they aren't necessarily location based?]

I am probably forgetting some. Ideally, system should make it easy to add/suggest another category if the current categories don't fit the event. Also, this list assumes that the system will allow an event to be listed in more than one category.

Ron Paul Country is truly an awsome tool with great potential (just registered).. Living in a semi-rual area & with so much flavor of the months vs. Romney vs. Obama constantly pouring out of the MSM...everytime i see the map, one phrase come to mind.. "You're Not Alone!" Though I must embarrassingly admit that when i first saw the name, it sounded more like a country music radio station... It's funny you should mention that, we've been contacted by a County GOP Chair that asked what the site and technology capabilities are and how a site like we have been building could be utilized to organize delegates for county, district and state conventions. Although the project scope is strictly the early state caucuses and primaries depending on how well Ron Paul does in Iowa, NH, etc. some of the functionality could be expanded on to provide some really great cutting edge tools for Ron Paul endorsed campaigns driven on web 2.0 technologies.

I really mean that you should patent this. Also "Terms and conditions";"Intellectual property rights";"Limitations of warranties and liability";copright;trade mark etc. is a MUST on a web page (cover your asses and protect your property.). I dont live in USA and cant register on "ronpaulcountry.com" but i think that it really got great potential. At this moment anyone can use your work and patent it for himself and maybe earn some money and leave you withouth your work and any profit........Also other campain could take your idea to promote their candidate.

We send out event notices to our registered users located within 30-50 miles of an event (sometimes 100-mile radius if attendance is critical). Today in fact, I sent out a bunch of event notices for NH, as well as for Florida straw poll and Iowa meet-up.

BTW that thread is kind of funny, one guy thought I worked for the DNC LOL and some other guy thought DAS wasn't actually putting ads in papers (http://www.ronpaulcountry.com/content/daily-iowan-endorses-ron-paul) and that the Iowa City Grassroots HQ (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?337088-Office-Grand-Opening-Johnson-County-Iowa-Grassroots-HQ-TODAY-6-PM!&highlight=ronpaulcountry) was some kind of hoax hahahahaha.

I might as well post this here in case anyone doesn't know who I am or some of the people working on this project, this was a response to a guy over there that alleged I worked for some nefarious organization:

LOL yea I work for the DNC or GOP hahahaha, man I wish I did then I would at least be getting paid for putting in over 60+ hours a week working on the site. We are non paid supporters and volunteers for Ron Paul 2012, period, end of story! If you want to see who I and some of my buddies are check out some of my videos from 2007 (notice I changed the video description to include link to ronpaulcountry.com);

I have a HUGE selection of videos (beyond the ones listed) too many to post, and materials of myself and others that work on RonPaulCountry.com as evidence of our dedication to getting Ron Paul elected and being long time members of the grassroots, but that should give you some idea of who I am and an example of the people working at RonPaulCountry.com

How are you getting the word out on social media? Also, have you considered using google ad words to target Ron Paul supporters? This tool needs as many users as Ron Paul Forums and daillypaul.

This is a great tool and it will become even more effective as more people sign up!

If you have already registered, please take a minute to help spread the word by posting a link in your state/local section of the Liberty Forums here [like this (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?337724-Maps-of-New-Hampshire-supporters-and-events)].

Also, if you are on Twitter, you can help by following @RonPaulCountry (https://twitter.com/#!/ronpaulcountry), and if you can retweet our posts it really helps spread the word.

I guess we're going to have to invest in some kind of a promotional tool like google ad words or facebook ads. So far, promotional efforts are all manual - twitter, facebook posting in iowa and new hampshire groups, facebook sharing directly from the site, etc... as well as email invites from current site users.

It would be great to be able to do Adwords, Facebook ads etc. The hard part is, even at $0.50 per click, paid advertising becomes expensive quickly. For example, assume we wanted another 700 registrations, and assume about 20% of visitors actually register (meaning we need to buy 5x as many clicks in order to get 700 registrations), cost would be 3500 * $0.50 = $1750.

The good news is, word of mouth is free and works very effectively for Ron Paul grassroots stuff... just need some more momentum :)

I am a bit wary of that sort of thing. There was someone (http://ronpaultweeters.com/) promoting it a while back, he got tons of followers quickly but (almost just as quickly) his account was suspended (www.twitter.com/ronpaultweeters). Maybe he was using it wrong, who knows, but if you wanted to try it I'd probably suggest using it on a completely separate Twitter account so that we don't risk messing up the current one.

I hear your point but I've been using it for months now and it's been great. As long as you don't go silly then it works a treat. Use long time intervals one follow every 30-60 seconds and wait 3 days before unfollowing. Don't use it to generate tweets or automatically retweet people. You only get suspended if you are too overt and ridiculously stupid with it.

We need someone to help us reach out to those sites, D.A.S. has been very busy doing promotion through social media and helping to organize local boots on the ground activities, RonPaulNH has been helping with social media promotion, we have a dedicated designer for the site and we have a few people helping with content creation and promotion, I've been working on coding and building new features and services as well as cleaning up bugs, etc., but everyone is already working overtime on their respective activities. If you would like to join the team and reach out to those sites on our behalf we would appreciate it. We really need more people to help out with the site in all avenues even though we have a pretty good sized team we could certainly use the help. As far as promoting itunes bomb absolutely just send us the url to a banner that we can drop on the site through the contact form and we'll add it.

As we start to make a difference in Iowa, New Hampshire and other early states the below video explains exactly what needs to happen as we approach the tipping point and go past it. What we really need to do is reach out to the early adopters in order to reach the tipping point and get a hold of the big mo. People are inspired in what someone believes and what they believe about themselves. The following also has a great example with MLK, whole discussion starts around 11:00.

The 15% tipping point concept follows the Law of Diffusion of Innovations;

2 1/2% = innovators
13 1/2 % = early adopters
34% = early majority
34% = late majority
16% = laggards

Shown here at 11:00 minute mark, explains further the gap between 10-15%:

It would be cool if people could take a minute to spread the word on their state level forums. I just posted some heads-ups to our neighbors in Maine (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?338331-Interactive-map-of-Maine-Ron-Paul-supporters-and-events), Mass (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?338332-Cool-website-with-interactive-maps-of-Mass-supporters-and-events) and VT (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?338333-Interactive-map-of-Vermont-Ron-Paul-supporters-and-events&p=3854508#post3854508)... maybe people from other regions could take a min to do the same? :)

I don't understand why you are creating a new portal. Not happy with the way RPF is ran? Want to do your own thing?

I've let you guys promote (http://imgur.com/lFcoZ) your stuff even after I asked you not to. I wanted to see where you go with it.

I'm still not sure where you are heading and I'm getting frustrated by the repeated links and bumps your core team has been doing. I like people visiting and collaborating here. This is a safe-haven for many supporters and we have guarded our doorsteps.

If you want me to put up a map with markers, I can do that. At the moment, you can search for RPF members by state.

I locked your first thread (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?323483-Looking-for-a-graphic-designer-to-help-with-the-Ron-Paul-Grassroots-Web-Portal) because myself and others have tried to gather people here for years so that they can discuss politics together and work together.

I'd rather you not promote this on RPF.

This is a grassroots portal that many of us have been maintaining for four plus years.

There is strength in numbers and I don't like division or fracturing of this base. Sorry.

We are up to nearly 20,000 visits to this site daily.

Instead of breaking off as many people as you can off of here and other grassroots sites, I'd prefer you help me out or at least post about news/activism instead of just links to a different site. If you bought an ad banner, I wouldn't care. But right now, you're spring boarding off a lot of our blood, sweat, and tears and I don't know you.

Multiple people/projects in the past have done the same and some of these projects have turned out to be scams/distractions.

What's fair?

Yeah that was great

Come join the chat @ RonPaulCountry.com (http://ronpaulcountry.com/) :)

This isn't going to fly for long.

Josh,

We're not in any way competing with RonPaulForums, and I apologize if inadvertently some of the posts made on the behalf of our project have conveyed this idea. I also would like to thank you for giving us some room to grow. Now please let me explain our intentions and goals to make sure we're on the same page.

Our project is the geolocator for the Ron Paul volunteer network and a notification service for Ron Paul events. We have a master calendar of Ron Paul events, both the Campaign events and the grassroots events which we aggregate from the net as well as by word of mouth, and we send out notifications about those to Ron Paul supporters who are located near those events.

Also, with the map that we have and since we require State, City, County, and Zip, RonPaulCountry lets Ron Paul supporters from anywhere in the nation find fellow supporters in their LOCALITY, organize meet-ups, and promote their events. This has already taken place - we've already sent out many notices - including those about Florida events, Iowa events, NH events, and events in other States. Florida has already asked for our help in promoting Tampa-area events, such as the recent Pasco Straw Poll, and we were happy to help. Ron Paul won the Pasco Straw Poll with the help of those Floridians.

We're not a forum and never intended to replace a forum. We needed forum members as "seed membership" to give us some legitimacy in the community and a jump-start as we scour the net looking to aggregate Ron Paul volunteers from other places into a centralized database. Also, forums don't send out event notifications to their users - they spread the word by posts, which people may or may not be around to see in time for an event. So we're more of a competition to places like meet-up.com, except with the entire nationwide operation in one place.

A lot of people who have signed up with RonPaulCountry are RonPaulForums users, and they spend more of their time HERE, not with us. We've garnered a lot of praise for our hard work in Iowa, Florida, and in other places where we've helped get people together in areas where they did not know other Ron Paul supporters.

We're not taking users AWAY from you, since people always come back to the Forums - whereas in our site, people come, register, and go. They come back if they want to find other people in their immediate area - not a functionality easily met on Ron Paul Forums or the Daily Paul... And of course they receive notifications about events in their area - also not a functionality that Ron Paul Forums or the Daily Paul have. Forums are great for people who come there, but when folks are away from forums, we reach them by email saying "hey, there's a Ron Paul event in your area soon - so here's the heads up..."

We're all in it for the same goal - to promote Ron Paul and improve grassroots organization. So instead of you seeing this as a competition, we hope you could see this as a PARTNERSHIP. We don't have functionalities that overlap, but we complement each other in a lot of ways from what I've described above about the capabilities of RonPaulCountry.

If certain features of RonPaulCountry bother you, we can work with you to accommodate. If it's a question of money -- well, our effort is as much a grassroots effort as yours, so obviously we're short on money since we don't advertise at all. We're volunteers, working long hours for Ron Paul. Our goals are the same. Could we not forge a partnership to deliver to the Ron Paul grassroots the features that are new and different from what your site or any other site has?

Regards,
-- Denis

I just want to clarify, I love RonPaulForums and how it is run, I like the mods, the people and the information that is shared on these forums.

In my mind I never considered RPC as a replacement portal in anyway for RPF. I believe in the past DAS has tried to PM you to see if we can open up communications and see how we can work together. Personally I feel like I have something I can contribute to the Ron Paul 2012 effort with the technical skills and solutions we can provide.

DAS has already talked about our goals and how they do not conflict with RPF so I won't go into that, but please I do ask you talk with us through PMs, phone, etc. We want to talk with you and allow us to get together to know each other so we can work together toward our common goals and perhaps come up with new technology solutions to challenges going forward I am willing to work with you however I can. If you would like we would be open to communicating with you directly in anyway you feel comfortable with or giving you any information you want.

Oh and I would happily run your social media activities if you like. I'm a pro at twitter. :) I could also write you some content if you wish if there's something you need writing. I also could contact a load of pro-Ron Paul and other liberty orientated sites and ask them to put up a Ron Paul Country banner up if you wish - I've just done that for the itunes bomb so could do that for you.

Also, in the fat chance you need something translated into French I could also do that for you lol. :D
