and according to Senator Coburn, trying to stop anything like this with an amendment is now impossible. He stated in an interview this morning that at least half of Congress needs to be replaced, and that there are no votes, no debates, no amendments anymore. No way to undo any of the damage that has been caused. Watch this. It's astounding.

51 k a year , that is high , does that include all the overseas schools ? I would expect that to be high. I live in the midwest , probably runs 10 to 14 k per year per kid in an ordinary public school , all property tax money.

It's not just the ridiculous amount that's spent on education - it's the fact that Congress can no longer fix what's wrong because the leadership has changed the way things are done on the hill now. Watch the clip. It's much worse than I ever imagined.

Coburn to Scarborough (on Congress): “Joe, the problem is there’s an imbalance in terms of what they view as good for themselves vs. what they view for the country. And this idea that you’re going to protect your position instead of do what’s the best right thing for the country is at a point where we’re now at significant risk as a nation.”

Do all the students get personal full time tutors  About 200 schools , only 60 some in the US , probably pricey to get teachers overseas ?

Coburns plan , shuts down the 63 US schools that need 4 billion in repairs , sends 12k per kid per year to the school they attend , saving 39k per kid ea, total savings around 5 billion over five years .

Of course Dirty Harry will not want it up for a vote , he only likes bills that spend money , not save money ....
