I don't know. It seems like the paleocon views are very compatable with the ancap philosophies. There's got to be something more than that if Tom Woods is actually disliked by the official campaign

It is, and Woods has said a few times that he'll open up about it when the time comes. Which, I'm guessing, is after the campaign.

There is also the possibility that he's publicly saying this to keep the ancap association from wrecking Ron.
