Should the RP2008 campaign revise its quarter goal to $15 million? Do you guys think this sum is possible?

- the Nov. 5 thing boosted donations BIG time
- the RATE of donations seems to be going up as well
- Nov. 11 and Dec. 16

any thoughts?

No. Not until we reach it. We still have 4.5 million to raise. That's no small sum.

Yes, it's possible.

I totally think $15 is possible, did you see the Peter Schiff e-mail? If 10% of his recipients followed through on his suggestion to donate $2300, that would be $13.8 million of new money.

yeah we already got it down.

I've always thought that we would raise at least 12 million. If we raised 4 million yesterday I believe we can double that in a month. So yeah, I say there is a good chance.

I dont think it needs to be revised. The message has been clear that it will take $12M to fund the campaign...it was a very specific goal.

Now Im not saying that more money wouldnt be great, but it seems like everyone always wants to move these goals all over the place. Goals are set for a reason...to hit them, not to move them.

I think there is a good chance but we should break the first goal before setting an even higher goal.

IF Schiff has alot of pull and his clients ante up, then YES it is very possible, and then some.

$15M would be an awesome number to raise since it's the amount of money that Dean raised in Q4 as well. With that said, the current goal is a good one and it's better to have it at 12 and then blow through it early.

I say they set the goal for $18 million.

No the campaign should never set a moving target goal. Just like the end of Q3 goal, let us blow this goal away and THEN set a new goal. We are not going to sit on our laurels, but after having a great day like yesterday, the absolute wrong thing to do would be to move the target farther away, that is demoralizing.

Meeting and then setting new goals gets people more fired up and makes us successful.

I agree 100%

The banner right on the campaign site says $12 Million to win in NH, Iowa, MI, SC, and NV by Dec 31st.

A goal should be measurable, and achievable and thats exactly what they have done.

If you change the goal, you not only demoralize those who donated if its not reached, but for a man who bills himself as being financially responsible and smart, it looks like he doesn't know what he is doing.

I personally think that we will break 20 million. I know many will think that I am having way to high of hopes, but remember, I am the guy who said it would be wonderful to break 1 million for November 5th. I honestly believe that we will get 10 million, or damn near close to it, on December 16th. November 5th brought in over 17,000 new donors! That, along with all of the MSM media coverage, will surely guarantee tens of thousands of more donations!

7 million now + 1 million for November 11th + 8 million on LibertyWeekend + 4 from normal donations = 20 million

We are going to rock the world, guys!

You guys realize that 20 Million is a huge number? That means his funds will have quadrupled from the previous quarter! And yet, it's not far fetched, at all!

Ron Paul will be in the White House in 2009! Yeah baby!

Leave the goal as is. I'm sure we'll surpass it though. 15 million seems very plausible. First of all, I think we can raise 3 million more dollars this month, with the Veterans day money bomb as well as just regular donations. So that's 10 million by December. I think we can expect 2 million in regular donations for December, as most people will be spending money on the holidays, but of course there will be the Bill of Rights/Boston Tea Party day which I think we'll make 5 million and the last week which we can raise 2 million. So all in all, we could very well raise 19 million if things keep going well. But maybe I'm being too liberal with my estimates. Either way, we have reason to be optimistic.

$20 mil would not surprise me at this point.

Count me in as believing the momentum is now unstoppable.

1+ mill on Nov 11th
10 mill on Dec 16th

And several more mill for the holidays. Several people I know including myself are telling everyone we know that all we want for Christmas is liberty, aka donations for the Ron Paul campaign.

The final Q4 campaign numbers are going to be ridiculous, while every other campaign is dwindling financially. Ahhhh it is great to be a Ron Paul rEVOLutionary! I love all of you freedom loving people!

I'd say we are on the pace for 30 million. 450,000 a day is no big deal.

The campaign should keep the current goal. I remember after the 3rd Quarter when they set the 4 million for October everyone was discouraged. Keep the 12 milllion goal. And see how much we raise from the money bombs. I really think that if we get another $4 million for the Tea Party that we could definitely make $20 million

All we need is another day like Monday, and we'll be well past 12 million. I don't think they should set the bar too high, though. We'll get there if we get there.

11-07-2007, 08:59 AM
I definetly think they should keep their original goal. When it get's blown out of the water, that will be huge news! $20 mil+ is my prediction. If a couple more Peter Schiffs come on board, the sky is the limit!

After this quarter, the media darling's candidates bundlers and special interests are really going to have to kick it into gear to keep up.

I am very optimistic that we can get to $20M. But we can't be complacent! Don't think that YOU don't have to donate because someone else will. Remember some people are close to maxing out, we need (and we will GET) new blood!

Nov 5th is just the beginning. The Boston Tea Party needs to exceed Nov 5th in order to get the same kind of coverage, and I think we can do it! Start saving! Get out there and find new donors and new VOTERS!

The low vibration you feel is the sound of the Ron Paul train coming. Soon it will be a magnitude 9 earthquake shaking up Washington D.C.!
