Here's the roll call vote:

Jim DeMint, Dean Heller, and Olympia Snowe are the only Republicans to vote for Rand Paul's amendment.

Dean Heller must have been confused by the butterfly ballot. I check him out and he is most definitely a raging neocon. That or they misheard and he was too lazy to correct his mistake.

I love the slight jab at McCain during the beginning. Calling him a "famous POW" as they're in the middle of a disagreement about who the government has the right to detain.

I watched this live. Pretty sad to see how people still won't relinquish the power they've given themselves. Not a bit of backtracking here.

Mike Lee has had a lot of bad votes today. I'm surprised that Demint actually voted for this, though. That's certainly a good development.

The problem is that Demint is wrapping up his career and Mike Lee's is just beginning. Shame on Senator Lee. What a terrible disappointment.

Impressive. Love Rand and the Oregon Democrat here.

Watching this video has me thinking about the future of the GOP. If there is a need for a GOP primary in 2016, Rand Paul and Neocon Marco Rubio are certainly going to be two names that will be thrown around endlessly. That could make for a very serious split within the "big tent". A lot of people will have to decide which direction in which they want to go.
