Facebook is blocking people's ability to send invites to their friends. I will have to suspend the 1 Million Likes for Ron Paul Facebook BOMB unless this clears up. Help? Anyone?

I haven't encountered this but maybe it's something new facebook are adding. How many are you inviting? Are you an admin of the event? Facebook is somewhat of a joke like you say and they are wanting to restrict the usefulness of the site for users.

Yes, I am an administrator but multiple people are complaining that Facebook is either blocking or limiting their friend invites to the event. Does greasemonkey work around it I wonder? http://www.facebook.com/events/203786723029474/

They do it to prevent spamming, it's annoying but most likely makes the site much more bearable

Well I guess it makes sense. Think about how Facebook is so successful. They basically invented a new form of advertising, and they want to make money off of that.

Yes, so what's new?

Just limit what you do and it will work out.

This is a standard practice to prevent spam. I had this happen to me a couple years ago when I was sending out invites to a party.

Yeah don't spam invites... they are blocking spam.

Apparently they've lowered the threshold.....last time, I was able to invite all my friends by doing them in three batches. Now, even doing in small batches, I've run up against a limit in the number I can invite.

Will try again where I left off tomorrow....

This has more attendees than the Dec. 16 moneybomb event.

What's the maximum number of invites you can do without it being considered spam?

- ML

Michael, I have NO idea, this is all grassroots support. If anyone knows how to make widgets, promotion techniques like the "BLACK THIS OUT" money bomb I'd appreciate it, but I don't think anyone cares.

Give us a guide to the number that worked and didn't work? 100, 500, 1000, 3000?

Yes, it does indeed, I just wish we could get up to 25,000 attending.
