Boortz introduced me to Harry Browne. Let's hope Boortz finally shakes off the "9-11" chicanery and reawakens.

I dunno. Look at the recent gushing interviews RP had with Savage and Hannity. I think these lousy pricks are coming around to us

i heard the official thread was really started by chinese agents that hacked jct74 rpf account and are holding the collins for ransom to get their money back that they loaned to the usa for the illegal wars! They are hoping ron paul pays his debt!

No they're not. Sure... they give him 5min once in a while, and they are nice to him if they interview him but most of the time they still pretend he's not there or they marginalize him by making ridiculous statements about his chances, about him running as 3rd party and about agreeing with some of his position but strongly disagreeing with others.

Here, let me break it down for you so you'll understand what these as you put it lousy pricks are actually doing:
They are doing their job. THAT'S IT. Nothing more and nothing less. They know their audience. It's their job to know and so they cater their program to attract the broadest audience possible. And that's all that this is. Attracting a broader audience to listen to their product - radio/tv show. Not only that but they also have to honor the stations that give them the opportunity to do their work. So they follow their memos which still tell them to ignore/marginalize/talk as little as possible about Ron Paul our his ideas.

So don't get fooled for a second that actually something is changing. Nothing will change until these outlets are owned by the status qup. Nothing.

Neal just said on air "..it looks like it's coming down to Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich.." not a pip about Ron.

Here's how it will go:

1. Decent interview of Ron Paul.
2. Some agreement with Ron Paul.
3. Post interview, Boortz confers with his sidekick about how RP is "unelectable"
4. The call screener allows only "RP is unelectable" callers through for the rest of the show.

But I do commend Ron for going on and I think it's a good idea. That way BOORTZ can no longer use the "Ron Paul is afraid/refuses/won't come on my show" line. THINKING PEOPLE should be able to see right through the spin.

Michele Bachmann called in this morning so she could al so get an interview today. I guess she was upset Ron Paul was going to get airtime and she wanted to take advantage of a larger audience. Bachmann interview begins right before the Doctors at 10:30

I started listening to Neal with my mom when I was a kid. As I got older I really loved his libertarian ideas. Around 2008 I became divorced from his hawkish position, and since then I've only been more and more disappointed.

This literally made tears streak down my cheek because I want Neal to do whats in his heart and support RP. This is HUGE for the state of Georgia. A fair interview on the Boortz show? This was great. Neal will be a GREAT asset if RP can pick up speed in Iowa and NH.

Let's do this guys. For liberty!

Can someone tell me what kind of show and what kind of listeners tune in to the Neil Boortz guy? I dont know much about him.. Why is this appearance so important?
Because he's a very popular libertarian talk-show host in the south east. If RP gets the nomination, Obama won't be able to touch Boortz's very large audience. He WILL support RP the entire way through a Paul v. Obama campaign. This is HUGE for southeast voters.

We need to stop being so negative. The interview went great and the part at the end was just Neal trying to poke fun at not getting any attention from Ron. Stop focusing on such a minor detail!

I hope someone will post that part online. I had every intention of listening to the show this morning but I was working all night on a script for the Iowa Caucus Speech contest. It was a lot of work scrunching it down to two minutes, but I got it done. And then overslept the radio time.

It should be repeated later or will be online at some point.

She (the caller) spoke highly of Ron, and Neal said "that's all great, but isn't electability more important than strict ideology?" after that she spoke about how everything will fail if we continue with the welfare state, and if Ron isn't elected, it will collapse, and Boortz AGREED. Then they had a lengthy discussion about the economy, etc. She was great. She made him (and me) laugh, and didn't come across as an asshole. All RP fans could learn a lesson or two.

I love when Ron brings up our improved relations with Vietnam today and how we achieved more in peace than we did in war. Using this example to temper the saber rattling towards Iran is brilliant.

well maybe we should clean up our act. Not speaking to current company, but I read an article where a guy basically thought Ron Paul was best of all the GOP and a supporter or troll pretending to be one, said 'I agree with your sentiments but this is a really poorly written article...' and went on to critique the guy's writing style. I mean, if he wanted to throw up all over the article, couldn't he have left his support of Ron out of his post, at least?

I was talking to a 60 yo big time southern social conservative (a hardcore old time Jerry Falwell fan/Israel is a sacred ally guy) who happened to listen to the show this morning. I was really excited to hear he didn't totally hate Ron Paul. His concern was that Paul isn't enough of a realist, but the most important thing to him is beating Obama. I was in a rush so I didn't get to explain how Paul focuses on principles, but would be responsible in implementation. Anyway it seems to me that if we get Iowa and do well in NH we can pick up folks like this.
