We know EXACTLY why. The girl's father is rich and well connected while the boy's is not. It should also be noted that the girl's much older brother also played doctor but isn't being charged with anything.

Not nearly enough info. What did this "butt doctor" game involve? Nonetheless, it is ridiculous to make a 6 year old a sex offender. I don't care if you wait until it's 18. The only difference between that and making him a sex offender immediately is 12 years. The point of not charging children with felonies is that they can't be held responsible for their actions, not that you have to pile on charges that become active when they are adults. That is just messed up.

But still, the article doesn't give nearly enough information to make a judgment on that.

Hey, now. You can't make A Brave New World by leaving kids with their parents, and that's all there is to it.
